The Perfect Bum is an advanced reusable diaper system with many unique features. A patented anchored pocket made of waterproof material helps prevent leaks and keeps the mess contained inside. Special soft-edge fastening straps stretch to allow a comfortable fit, while the broad VELCRO® brand closure front panel allows the diaper to grow with baby. Diaper cover is made of 100% polyster knit to sustain appearance during continuous use and multiple washings. Removable, absorbent insert fits easily into the anchored pocket to prevent leakage. The Newborn Starter Kit includes everything you need to start diapering: a reusable cloth diaper, t-shirt with adorable icon, one reusable tri-fold liner, and one booster pad. Size small (5-13 lbs).

This was the first cloth diaper that I put on my daughter. It held up well and I was so impressed when changing her later that nothing stuck to her skin. So then I was instantly in love with cloth diapers. I will have to get more in bigger sizes as my daughter has grown so chunky really fast. I guess I should have known to order a bigger size right away but oh well. I will definitely be getting more for my stash.

I have a lot of cloth diapers AIO and covers that I've collected recently. From FuzziBunz, Rumparooz, BumGenius, Thirsties, Flip, Charlie Banana and a few others, even wool. A lot of them have their perks but I was really looking for a small diaper for the newborn-small stage. Although they don't have a fold down option in the front for their cord, I still like this system better than the gPants from BRU because the snap in waterproof pocket is not durable on the gPants. Here its sewn in and also provides that second gusset to the legs. These are the only velcro closures I have and it is a bit concerning for longevity (like the next kid) but the plus side is that for newborns/small/medium the kid won't be pulling them off and you can really adjust and close them easily. The tabs also fold over for washing. The insert is interesting but not soft and you could always use a prefold insert like the china/india prefolds. I bought these on sale, as the original price was steep and I really didn't need a shirt. Hopefully CoCaLo keeps making these but sells them individually and cheaper. Additionally I found that in size comparison, is just slightly (and I mean slightly) smaller than the Charlie Bananas. For new moms, I think get 6 of these covers plus inserts (or 4/6 ply prefolds) and wait to build your diaper collection until you know what will really work for your kid. Plus if you do go the AIO route, you won't need to buy 36 covers, maybe just 24.
