I love the compactibility of the Cosmo stroller so got the carseat to make a travel system. While the seat is a little better quality than the lower end Gracos, it has shortcomings -- fabric is HOT so baby sweats in this thing, rebound bar is good for safety but baby's legs get caught in it when taking LO in & out, and the buckle is HORRIBLE!! look closely, it's a puzzle type, you need to get 3 pieces aligned and then insert all 3 into the buckle to lock it. the fabric around the buckle normally gets caught and you struggle trying to get it in. the hood is also waaay too short, doesn't block the sun. the carseat also weighs a TON!! the stroller on the other hand is super light. carseat is easy to take in and out from the car -- so that's a plus. all in all, the stroller rocks but the carseat is just ok.

I had always used Graco carseats with my other kids, but wanted a Combi to match my stroller choice this time around and I LOVE it! It's easy to adjust, very safe (ARB) and sturdy, good head support, easy to clean, easy to install and the material feels softer than the previous Graco ones I've had. It is slightly heavier than I'd want and I wish the shade would cover the seat more. I still think this is definitely one of the best carseats available.

Would definitely get this car seat/travel system again. Works great with the stroller (once we found the pieces that attach it). The shoulder pads sit nice and high so my 6.5 lber was comfy from day 1 bringing her home. No bobblehead with this car seat, unlike a Graco one we got as a handmedown for my husbands car - her head flops all over the place - needs the insert.
One con: Handle and sunshade get in each other's way
And I thought it was a con that it didn't have the ability to sit on the top of shopping cart, until I did my research and realized they did that for safety from the accidents of putting your newborn perched on top of the cart. Only recommend to put the carseat in the main part of the cart. Works for me!

My baby has been comfortable in this seat from day one. She has never cried when we put her in it and she is secure in the seat. It's easy to adjust the harness and the LATCH system is easy to use on the base. Easy to release from the car seat base. While the seat is pretty heavy, I would still recommend this seat to anyone. Also, the head support is too large for a newborn or a smaller infant. You will have to get an insert but it was VERY EASY to install and remove.

We recently received this item as a gift off our registry, and though I haven't used it with our son yet (five more weeks to go!) I'm very pleased with the seat overall. It's colors and pattern don't scream "baby", the way some baby items do, and it is attractive without being too gender specific. All of the fabric on the seat is machine washable - which is very important to me - so it will be easy to maintain.

Several of the features that I'm very pleased with include the ease of adjusting the belts. You simply twist a knob on the back of the seat to adjust the belt. It has two belt slots, but you don't have to worry about rethreading everytime you need to adjust! I have a friend who went the affordable route and used a Graco, but it was a nightmare to rethread every few weeks. I prefer this seat!

Also, the size and weight of the seat are great. I have a small car - 2011 Nissan Sentra - and I was really worried that this seat wouldn't work, but it fits just fine behind my seat (though I am a bit short at 5'4"). Since we live upstairs, I wanted a good quality seat that wouldn't be impossible to lug up the stairs, and this seat feels sturdy without being a beast. I even tried picking it up with my 14 pound cat in it (I couldn't keep him out, since he thinks all this baby stuff is for him) and it was still easy for me to handle.

The intructions that came with the seat seemed a little complex but were overall easy to interpret. However, once I got it out to the car and played around with it, it was very clear. I even took it to the fire station to be inspected today and the gentleman doing the inspection said it was installed perfectly! Not too bad for a first timer!

I also LOVE the Combi Cosmo stroller that matches the seat. I dreaded a travel system stroller, since I know from experience with friend's children, they are HUGE and heavy. A lot of people complain about the stroller being lightweight and not having a huge basket, but that's exactly what I was looking for - compact and lightweight. The two combine to form a easy to use, lightweight, compact system that I actually look forward to using.

Finally, I really like the anti-rebound bar. It's a feature that I didn't see in too many other seats and once I got the seat in my car, I saw exactly what it did. I'm very glad it's there!

The only thing that disappoints me is that it can't be perched on a shopping cart, which I didn't realize before, but that won't kill me. That, coupled with the fact that I have yet to actually use the seat with my son are the only reasons I give it a four star rating, instead of a five. Like I said, the shopping cart thing isn't a big deal, but I wish it was listed in the item desctiprion!
