Excellent choice!

I recently purchased this seat to replace our expiring Britax Roundabout. I had a few reasons for switching to the MyRide. First, the seat in the Roundabout is fairly shallow and my RFing 19 month old (even though petite) had to have her legs quite bent when riding. The seat of the MyRide is really deep and her legs can stretch out comfortably. I also really liked all the side impact protection of the MyRide. The movable head rest is memory foam and though it fits close to her head, she doesn't mind it and seems very comfortable. And the features (both safety and convenience) for the price make it a great value. I like the 40 lb. rear facing limit and the fact that the seat accommodates up to 65 lbs.

As far as installation, I figured I'd be sacrificing some of the ease and convenience that the Britax offered. I was pleasantly surprised at the ease though. The lower anchor straps are already in place and they are even color coded. There is grey and black. One for FFing and one for RFing. It does have the hook connectors (rather than the nicer "push and click" kind like Britax and Chicco have), but the tightening/loosening mechanism is the same as the Britax. I was quickly able to get a secure install.

Another Britax to Graco concern I had was not being able to use the top tether rear facing. Britax is one of the few seats that allow it, and it does make for a much sturdier install. However, after some research, I learned that there is supposed to be some give in the seat to allow for energy absorption in an accident. There is still less than 1" of movement at the belt path, but there is some give if you move the top of the seat. I felt much better after learning the purpose behind it.

I have the seat behind the driver's side of our '06 Honda Odyssey and my husband and I can both comfortably drive without feeling crammed. We had it behind the driver in our '99 Jeep Grand Cherokee as well and it was a much tighter fit, but not horrible (he's 5' 10" and I'm 5' 7"). And on that note, tightening/loosening the harness has not been an issue in either vehicle.

An unexpected feature I discovered while sizing the harness is that the harness straps are sewn off in two different spots allowing the harness to be attached at three different spots to make it longer or shorter. That way there's not so much to tighten for tiny babies, but the straps can be made longer for children using the taller slots.

I am extremely pleased with this seat and highly recommend it.

I bought this car seat the other day in hope that it would fit in my 2011 kia sorento and I put it in and it fit perfect in the middle between my two graco booster seats ( rear and forward facing) but my only problem wad that I couldnt get it tight enough rear facing both with latch and seat belt ( I think it because of the placement of my seat belts in my car) it will fit fine on eaither side of my car but wouldnt work since my two booster seats couldnt fit side by side but my daughter thst is only 6 week but already 14 pounds fit great I even put my 4 year old in it and she fit great but overall it a good seat and the kids look super comfy but ill save the car seat and wait till she is forward facing and use it then

I absolutely love this car seat. We owned one of the original MyRide 65 (without safety surround) for our older daughter. We purchased this one for our son last summer. He just turned three years old and still sits rear-facing comfortably in this car seat. I am still very satisfied with it. I also like the added side-impact head support. Any seat that is rear-facing is generally harder to get installed tight enough. We have an SUV, so I usually push and tilt the front seat all the way forward and squeeze myself between the back of the front seat, and the back (headrest area) of the car seat and lean into the car seat while pulling the latch straps to secure it. It fits in nice and secure. I'm purchasing a second car for our family and am buying a second seat again for him because I trust it so much.

Got it for gift when baby is born, now year after we wanted to use it, but doesn't fit in our jeep laredo, what a ugly design , they didn't want to exange it in toys r us , so we gonna throw it in garbage

we bought two of these car seats. one from my husbands elantra and my trailblazer. It was tricky to install but I watched a video on youtube and it was no problem. My daughter loves her seat and she is very snug in it. I feel she's very safe in it.

This is a sturdy seat, but too large to fit rear- facing in a mid-size sedan. Since I am using it for a toddler, and can install it front-facing, it works for me. You would need a larger vehicle to use this seat for an infant.

I love this car seat! Yes, it is big but I feel that my boy is very secure in it. We call it the "command center" as it has cup holders and is even more comfortable than our recliner. We have it in the center seat of our Subaru Forester using the seatbelt. I have had no issues with the buckles or installation, we are very happy with this purchase.

I bought this carseat after my 7 month old daughter outgrew her infant seat, also a Graco. I have a really small car Chevy Aveo and had it fitted and it works GREAT!!!! I love the way it keeps my little one snug and safe....it was SUPER EASY to install with the latch system, had no trouble what so ever tighting it. This seat is amazong and would hightly recommend it to everybody!!!

The carseat is difficult to install, and the strap for tightening it into the car doesn't work right. Both my husband and I have tried tightening it and the carseat still wiggles a lot from side to side.

It is also difficult to tighten the straps once your baby is in. You meet resistance well before the straps are actually tight on the baby. And the pull to loosen the straps is difficult to reach.

Also it's not easy to remove the cover for washing, and difficult to spot-clean.

I am very happy with this car seat. I drive a Honda Civic and because it's so small it was difficult to find a car seat that would fit correctly. My son is 1-years old and I still want him to ride rear facing. I bought a Safety 1st Air 65 to try. It fit in the car but I could not get it level and I could not tighten the Latch system tight enough. I returned it and bought the Graco My Ride. I have a friend who drives a Nissan Versa and uses this car seat also. I was able to install it rearing face in my civic. It is level and I was able to tighten the Latch system correctly. I am very happy with it. It also has built in cup holders and extra head support system. Over all it's an excellent car seat for small cars!!!

The only thing good about this car seat are the cup holders. The buckle is difficult to clasp. The latches are difficult to unhook from car. Difficult to get adequate tightness on latches to prevent car seat from moving. More importantly this car seat DOES NOT fit in most cars. Does not fit in VW Jetta, Chevy Trailblazer, Buick Enclave, or Dodge Ram. We have a britax car seat and love it, can't stand this car seat.

I purchased this when my child was about 7 months old-it is a very large car seat-it doesn't create any problems when it is forward facing but when it is rear facing you really notice how cumbersome it is. It fit into my SUV but I had to put the seat almost all the way forward for it to fit when it was rearfacing. Overall it is a pretty good seat-easy to take apart and clean. My kids love the cup holders. Has held up very well so far.
