Pros:

Room Temperature Display; very useful tool especially when our son had his first cold and his pediatrician recommended we keep his room at a specific temperature.

Overall Display and Night Vision; Great display, clear view, good overall quality

Cons: (I feel these outweigh the pros)

Volume Control- You CANNOT turn off the volume, you can only turn it down. This is very inconvenient. Especially because my husband has to wake up early in the morning and can't be kept up every time our son cries. We have had to resort to the "cry it out" method. This is not convenient when you can't turn the volume off. I have had to stuff the monitor under my pillow in order to not turn off the monitor but still allow my husband to sleep. The color sound monitor is more than enough to gauge the noise level in my son's room, it is more than frustrating that I do not have the option to turn the volume off while still keeping the ability to see my son on the screen without turning the thing off.

Quality- we received this monitor as a gift in August 2012, it is May 2013 and we are already dealing with a frayed charger wire. We do not constantly plug and unplug our monitor. We basically keep is on our nightstand every day all day. There is no reason the cord should be frayed already.

We bought this to replace an old audio monitor that was horrible static noise wise and used up batteries like crazy.. When I got this and set up it was SO amazing not to hear an static noose at all!!! I like lot of the features like talking to baby , zooming it ,and knowing what the temp was in babies room..as well as the lullibys. The color screen is not very colorful but I am okay with that but for the money we paid it seems like it should be better. Also the parent monitor dies fairly quick which isn't that bad since it has a charger instead of taking up batteries like crazy.. But it would be nice if it could last through the night without being on charger but if I don't plug in by my bed its usually dead by morning.. But great if you just keep plugged in or is only off charger for a couple hours while cleaning when baby is napping!! I had another Motorola baby monitor that was just audio and it showed the time and date so that would be something nice to add to this product.. Overall this is the best baby monitor I have ever had but also the only video one I've ever owned so nothing really to compare to except the audio ones.. I'm happy with put have and it does its just great!!

We love this product. We can see everything she is doing in her crib, easy to set up and use. Love the talk back option and the music. Would recommend this to everyone.

This is an update to my prior review. The sound distortion got worse, to the point where the speaker on the parent unit cut out. I ordered a replacement through the replacement plan I had purchased. This new unit sounds great and strangely, the night vision illumination is wider. I am pleased with this product and hope it holds up! Customer service was great, too.

i have bought this this past sunday march 2 2013 and its already not working not even full two days....it started turning off/going blank while i was monitoring my child and would not go back on.....the product is a not even worth your time....but then again tell me what does. Me and my huband went and bought this bc the summers video camera broke on us, it last us about a 1 year and half. So i dont even know what to recoment do to not even knowing what to buy next myself.....anyways dont even bother with this camera.....

Oh and the 2 way talk with your child is very creepy my baby got very scared....music is unesesary my bay instead of sleeping decided to get up and dance.......and this model which no one told me in the store in hand mahual and its not remote controller when it comes down to move your camera side to side....you will have to do that by hand......hope i helped!!!

I love the picture quality and ability to talk to my child. The night vision could be improved by making the light more diffuse--right now it has a concentrated narrow circle of illumination. The audio is good at lower volume levels, but if I turn the volume up the sound is distorted. We have had no interference with other digital devices.

This monitor worked well for us for about 2 months. We didn't encounter the noise like other raters. After about 2 months of use, the monitor got harder and harder to turn on. I would literally have to hold the power button down for 10 seconds. After about 3 more months, the monitor would not come on at all. I did purchase the 15 month protection plan so I am getting my money back but the monitor has gone up in price and it is still not available in stores. Now I have to wait 7-10 days for the gift card to arrive with the money on it and another 5 days to have another one shipped if I order it :(

The camera doesn't angle down enough so it has to be put up high and further away to get a good view of the entire crib. Also, you cannot turn the volume off just down. And there is a noise when in use, like a buzzing/humming noise. I have to sleep with ear plugs due to the noise from the monitor and the noises my baby makes, I would rather just view her on the monitor as I can hear her from my room when she cries. If we ever buy another it will not be this type of camera by Motorola.

I never received a monitor for my baby shower and purchased this with all the gift cards I received :)
I purchased based on all the ratings this product received from multiple sites. We went two months without out and wasn't sure if needed. But we use to view for naps and bedtime to make sure he's not in distress. I love the option to view the temperature and the multiple lullabies so when his mobile batteries die there is back up. I wish the product had a belt clip so it'd be easy to carry around outside so my husband can keep tabs while doing the lawn work when I'm not home.
Haven't had any issues yet, so not sure how manufacturer will deal with warranty issues.
