This baby monitor is horrible! It cuts in and out the one charge stopped working and our son is only three months old. It is not worth the money! I would rather have spent money on a cheap one at least then I knew I got what I paid for, look at another monitor...

I choose this product for the price and because it seemed that everyone was complaining about their monitors and no one monitor stood out from the rest. At first I didn't think I was going to like this one after we starting using it. It only kicked on after the baby made a noise and I kept thinking I was going to miss what was going on in the room. Then I realized that it was a blessing not to have the noise on constantly. We use a noise machine to help the baby sleep and we don't need to hear the sound of "rain" while he sleeps soundly. It only takes one peep from him to activate the monitor and if he keeps crying or wimpering the monitor stays on and we go check on him. If he makes a little noise and the monitor kicks on but he doesn't make another sound it kicks back off and we know that he isn't really awake. I've had no problems using it without it being plugged in. I move the parent monitor around with me depending on what room I'm in (kitchen doing dishes, bathroom taking a shower, etc). It works great! The other day I forgot to plug it back in and when I got home from work 9 hours later it was still fully charged and worked fine. It's lightweight and the sound is loud when it's turned up. I like the sound-light indicators too because they catch my eye when he starts to make noise. To each his own with opinions of this product but I love it and it works great for us!

Only monitors when it picks a noise (moderate or louder) in the room and you don't hear that first triggered sound. After that it stays on for about 10 seconds, unless the sound continues. For example; my daughter coughs, then the monitor kicks on and I hear background ambient noise; then it shuts off. This cycle continues without me really knowing whats going on in the room. There is no settings other than volume. Don't waste your money on this.

This simply does not work unless you are loudly talking right into the baby monitor. It cuts in and out and did not pick up our baby once when we tried it out while he was awake. Tried calling Motorola to send it back and they will only exchange it. I don't want another on of these pieces of junk, I will just eat the cost. DO NOT BUY THIS if you want to actually want to hear your baby.

My husband and I registered for this product to have an easy, portable system to use on the go. We have a Motorola video monitor to use in baby's room at night so we thought we'd go with the Motorola brand for the portable system as well because we love our video unit. However, we could not be more frustrated with this product. The first set had a battery issue - the "parent unit" could not be detached from the charger or it failed to work. We exchanged it thinking it was a fluke thing. The second set now has functioning batteries but does not work unless the base unit is literally an inch away from the sound source. It nearly has to be touching my baby's mouth for any sound to be detected. Very very disappointed. Will be returning yet again and will be getting a different brand or model this time.

I didn't want to spend too much money on a monitor because our room in right next to the baby's room so that's how I picked this one. The sound goes in and out and sometimes I hear our son through the wall before I hear him on the monitor which is very frustrating. When I read the instructions to try and fix it, it says that WALLS(!) may block the monitors from picking each other up.

I was disappointed because it didn't work. It worked on occasion and when it did work, I loved the sound quality and how it only picked up baby's sounds. However, after much trial and error, making sure I read directions thoroughly, etc etc, it simply did not work most of the time. My baby could be crying and I would have never heard him. I ended up having to return it. I really liked the price range and was truly disappointed by its lack of performance.

I bought another video monitor when my son was born. It had a lot of interference with it, I would have to angle it so the fan, phone, ect...wouldn't make a horrible noise. A year later, I figured I'd get one without the video so I bought this monitor. It is sooooo great. There is absolutely no interference and yet I can hear every peep my son makes. It was so quiet that the first night I kept checking to make sure it was on. I love the fact that it's small and has a clip, so I can take it everywhere with me. I couldn't be happier, I just wish I bougt it sooner :)
