This crib is so wonderful! It looks like a crib you could easily spend $1000+ on! The espresso color is gorgeous. It looks black in the store picture, but in person its a very dark brown that has a "rubbed" appearance to it. It took my husband and I only 10 minutes to put together! SUPER easy! A very sturdy crib that will easily last into our son's adult life. Couldn't be more happy with this product!

We bought the 4-in-1 set as an "investment." But a lot more money and time must be invested to make it work in 4 ways!

We didn't think about the teeth marks our teething baby would leave on her bed (will she want such marks on the bed she uses as a tween?). We didn't think about how large a FULL sized bed is in a little girl's room.

But I'm especially disappointed with the experience of converting the set to big bed. First of all, you pay a huge chunk of change for ... 8 pieces of wood and some hardware. I waited months and months to be able to make the special order. Then waited another 10 weeks for the special order to arrive. Finally, I took apart the toddler daybed expecting to have her sleep in a big girl bed that night. But that is when I noticed that they sent me the TAHOE set, not the HERITAGE one. The wood slabs might be exactly the same. But the hardware would not work. I spent an hour trying to get the allenbolts and nuts to fit together -- they would not. I looked at the pdf on the HERITAGE set and realized that the allenbolts sent me were 1.5" too long! (But length alone wasn't the reason why the nut and bolt wouldn't fit together.) She had to sleep on the floor that night. The next day I got working hardware from a local hardware shop (WHAT? I paid how much money for THIS??). I got the pieces together, but had wasted an extra 2 hours in the process.

But then I tried to screw the slabs onto the frame. The predrilled holes did not always match up. I spent an hour putting in 12 screws! I couldn't use an electric tool because there wasn't enough space for it to fit into the screw without hitting (and taking the finish off) the sides of the bed frame.

It's finally put together, and it does look nice (though HUGE for the size of her room). I laid on the bed with her last night during reading time (though when my husband tries to sit on it it creaks ominously).

Overall, I feel completely disappointed in the value for the money and time I put out. I would not recommend this product to others.

i bought this crib for my son along with the conversion kit and spend the kinda money that we did when all said and done and the bars for the crib mattress were messed up and i couldn't have the mattress on the highest level now we have it as a full size bed for our son and tonight i went to take the side rails of to move it and the metal pieces that are in the foot board to grip the screws pulled right out of the cheap pressed wood and while its only been a full size been less then 6 months its not under warranty because i bought the rails when i bought the crib almost 4 years ago! i am so annoyed right now!

This crib met all my expectations and then some! It looks great when it is all put together. It is also very sturdy! I love the look and feel of it. It is very smooth, with nice detail in the wood. It also has some space under the crib for a little storage but you have to slide it under from the sides. The only thing I had a problem with is in the corners it is very thick so it is hard to tie the bedding bumpers to it. If I was to have another I would definitely consider this crib!

It's a great crib, easy to assemble. The crib is a smart buy if you are looking for a lifetime crib the wood can definitely with hold many years of life. The only negative is that it's packed in a large box and nearly impossible to not use the delivery option unless you own a van (not a jeep or a large vechile) you need a working van, the box is tall, long and heavy!

I bought this crib for my daughter when she was about 4-5 months old. I also bought her the baby cache mattress. And I am in love with it. It set up pretty easily, I did it myself. Like a previous poster said about the conversion kit I ordered it when I bought my crib and baby's r us put me on a waitlist. I received the conversion kit at the beginning of the month. So it took about 9 months for me to get my kit. And it's now sitting in my garage, because I have no use for it for at least another year. So why the big fuss? ANyways, the color is gorgeous and I've stood on the springs and it held my weight well.
