Use the Portable Grand button to instantly call up an authentic stereo grand piano sound. The YPT-230 has rich Reverb effects, adding concert-hall ambience to your performance. Yamaha's Education Suite 6 makes practicing your favorite songs more easy than ever before.

  • Practice at your individual level with the new advanced Yamaha Education Suite (Ver.6) lesson functions. Now, the playback of the selected song is continuously adjusted to the tempo of the player's performance.
  • In the YPT-230, You will find 385 high-quality instrument voices and 100 accompaniment styles. It features a wide variety of voices, including preset digital effects.

      Yeah, No power adapter. Returned & promptly bought the same one from [@] for the same price w/ an adapter. The keyboard itself is great for a beginner.

          If you buy this item from Toys R Us, there is NO adapter in the box. Do you know how long the batteries will keep the keyboard running? NOT LONG!

              great gift for six and nine year old; only got 3 stars because it does not come with an AC adapter and unclear on ToysRUs website this is available. Can order it separately,however. Kids are having a great time with it.

                    There was no AC adapter in the box, I looked in the product guide and it said that there should be AC adapter. But if you look on the box it says optional.

                    I called Toys R Us and they said they are going to ship one, they shipped ths similar box again, now I have to return 2 of them.

                    Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

                          This is a great product, however is not a great buy at Toys R Us. Everyone else sells it with the powercord for just a few dollars more. By the time you purchase the power cord separately and pay shipping and handling, you could have purchased the entire kit with earphones and stand for additional 10 bucks. Okay, Toys r us......you fooled me.

                          Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
