This product is for young ones. My son was 18 mo. when we bought it, and it is perfect for his. He loves the water part. Does not make a mess, the board does get scratched if scratched really hard. Despite the comments, I am happy with the product. I have had kids step on it, and it is holding up wonderfully. I am satisfied.

Not worth it

The gel side is worthless. you cant even color a picture in it because there is so much in it and it just goes back to blue right after you draw the line or whatever.. the water color side is just ok but the pen runs out of water quickly.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This toy is good for a very young child. I bought it for my daughter when she was about 15 months old and she enjoyed the water side. The gel side is so so but it's still a decent toy for in the car, etc.

Neither side works well. This is an utter disappointment. You can't even see any drawings appear on the wet pen side until a few seconds after trying to draw something. The gel side is a joke.

I bought this for my almost 3 yr old. I was unimpressed. The water pen has to be refilled every few minutes. Also, my daughter managed to scratch off some of the coating on the water side, just using the water pen that comes with the toy. The gel side seems strong and feels interesting, but it is really hard to make any pictures on it.

I got this for my son today and it's already falling apart. The coating on the coloring side scraped right off while he was coloring. The pen leaks and is also difficult to color with. He has to apply a lot of pressure to draw a line, and as he draws, the coating scrapes off. The gel "painting" side is ok, but that's about it. I WILL be returning it. Lasted only a couple of hours.
