Product Description

MEGATRON began his life as a gladiator, built to fight in the brutal darkness of the Kaon pits. It was there that he learned that the strong survive and the weak perish, and there that he became determined to be the strongest of all. His conquest began there, and has since burned its way across the universe.

The AUTOBOT armys worst fears are realized in this robot-to-spaceship figure! The villainous MEGATRON figure wields a battle claw and his fusion canon converts to a mighty sword. Keep switching him from robot mode to spaceship mode and back again, so he can handle whatever his opponents dish out!

Figure comes with accessory.

Comments about Hasbro 1001119 Transformers Prime Robots in Disguise Action Figure - Decepticon Megatron:

This review is a tad long, so make sure you have the time:). You know, for who's called the second most important character in TF, it's a shame that Megs has suffered from somewhat lacking toys since Cybertron. There was the first movie Megatron toy, which was ok, but the robot mode needed work and the colors were just wrong. There was voyager "Frozen" one, whic had a good robot mode, but the jet mode was basicly him laying down with his arms forward. Then came Animated(What were you thinking Hasbro...). I don't own that Megatron so I don't know what he's like, but from pics he looked good. Then came ROTF, we got the colors right, but he had awkward arms and an outdated design for his tank mode. Plus no flying mode... And a new voyager Megs, which was a bit to kibbletastic(If you're new to Transformers, that means a bunch of vehicle mode parts thrown in the wrong places). Other than that, he was pretty accurate in both modes(Also a fan mode exhists for a tank mode). Then DOTM came along, and we hoped for the Megs we had been waiting for since the first movie. Instead we got a voyager that had a terrible lack of colors, a wasp-like build, and was, even for a voyager, quite small. (Oh, then there's legends: First was decent, second had an abomanational robot mode, third was great in both modes). Well, now there's this guy, so let me review him (Yes, I know, took me long enough)

Robot mode:
So right off the bat you'll notice his colors. While not as bad as they look on pics, they still are somewhat lacking. Also, there a lot lighter than they are in the show. (Iv'e noticed that Hsbro's doing this to a lot of thier TF toys) Also, there are to shades of purple on him: the purple on his hips and lower torso are lighter than the paint on the legs. Well moving on. He is well articulated, and you can get him into decent poses. However, the feet can't tilt side-to-side, so positioning his legs is a bit fidgity. The face is well sculpted also. One more thing- No kibble:) Well, no ANNOYING kibble at least(I'm looking at you, '07 Megs). The weapon is kinda, well fun. You press a switch and it converts(well, actually flips out, the gun is still in plain site above the blade) into a sword. It also lights up. However, unlike DOTM voyagers, you can't lock the weapon. Although, the button is quite fun to press, I admit. Now, looking at his robot mode, he is obviously based on G1 Megatron, The legs, gun and forehead, and Movie megs, the toes, face, and vehicle mode. Quite an interesting design, actually.

Jet mode:
Uh.... well, after a well-thought out transformation(For all those in-patient parents out there that constantly rant on this site, shouldn't be too hard. But then again, it depends on how in-patient you are), we get a... well, all I can say is, A for effort. While not TERRIBLE, the front is a bit flattened, and the arms kinda hang off the back.So kibble-wise, he doesn't fare half as well as the robot mode, but it's better than most jet-TFs.

Well, here's the score.

Accuracy: 8/10. Might be a 9 or even a 10 but the jet mode took a point or two. Also, the colors... Oh the colors...

Transformation: 9/10. Well thought out, not too hard, not too easy.

Fun: 10/10. Maybe that's a stretch, but come on, it's Megatron!

Durability: 8/10. Much more sturdy than other Prime figures.

Weapons: 10/10. A sword and a gun. You don't need much more than that;)

Colors: 5/10. Sorry, not really impressed in this department.

Overall: 9/20. Still great, and you'll still probably want to pick him up. Still, the vehicle mode lacks a bit...

Comments about Hasbro 1001119 Transformers Prime Robots in Disguise Action Figure - Decepticon Megatron:

I thought this representation of Megatron was spot-on. Never thought how cool this toy was, until I had him in my hands. Most people would say the paint is lacking, but I disagree. There have been worse paint jobs on previous transfomers. Things that are excellent are how so close it represents his animated look in robot and vehicle mode.

Comments about Hasbro 1001119 Transformers Prime Robots in Disguise Action Figure - Decepticon Megatron:

The transformation is o.k., since it is a "jet" to robot, so it's harder to hide the robot parts in alt mode. It's fairly sturdy in posability, but the plastic is cheaper that previous lines.

Comments about Hasbro 1001119 Transformers Prime Robots in Disguise Action Figure - Decepticon Megatron:

Nice representation but sorely needs paint in ALL areas. Also shell out the extra for the First Edition Optimus Prime since the alternative in this line is terrible, unless you're one of the "settlers" who convinced themselves it was awesome because you can't afford the real deal. lol Megatron should have either been pre-painted or made in a different silver, not the ghost gray and brown they used here for him so he lost a star. Great figure in other respects.
