Not Sturdy

    Comments about Hasbro 1001119 Star Wars Vintage Action Figure - Battle Droid:

    This STAR WARS Vintage Action figure "BATTLE DROID" does not make for a decent toy. This Droid also would not be good as a Collector's piece either since it is very, very thin and not constructed as well as it's human counterparts.

    Young children will certainly be drawn to this DROID however, still would not suggest purchasing for a Play Toy. Since this STAR WARS Droid is not Collector's Standard either, perhaps for a child's first Collector's Piece meaning on a Book Shelf or Display Case would be fine. My suggested Age Range 5-7. Yet, TOYS R US Site: "Our Recommended Age: 4 - 6 years (details). Manufacturer's Age: 4 years and up".

    Older children-Teens will expect more from an Action Figure and most likely would rather invest more money in a more realistic Collector's Item. This item is terribly thin and cheap.

    My Note: This figure does not hold-up to lil children's play, whereas PLAYMOBILE Co. People/Characters are more suited for younger children and actual "play".

    For ages 8 and up: "STAR WARS Phantom Menace Vintage Action Figure - Qui-Gon Jinn VC75" has more character and expense spent on it (with layered clothing and even light sabre).

    This Battle Droid does draw in Boys who like Robots and Droids! It does have some character in face yet simply isn't the same quality as the other STAR WARS items available!
