It constantly turns itself off, remote only works if you are within 5ft and sometimes not even then.
When it is set to play music mode, the water mode will come on instead and i have to repeatedly hit if off and on until music plays

Songs are soothing to my daughter (day/night). It does not light up at night. But it does not bother my daughter, plus I do not want my baby entertained at night. Mobile has a ocean, chirping and classical piano music. Music plays for about 30 minutes.

The mobile is also very colorful that it gets my daughter's attention. 7 months later I still have it attached to her crib, but will have to remove it when she sits up on her own. But she will still be able to listen to the music. I think I am going to remove the dolls and give them to her to play with.

OMG!!! What a frustrating product....we bought it because it was advertising that it Plays Music, Attaches to Crib, Volume Control, Soft Lights..it does with the exception that there are NO SOFT LIGHTS!! How is my son going to SEE the DARN thing at night? very disappointed by this product....we had to get a second mobile with lights...however that being said, the music on the second mobile isn't as good as Baby Einstein.....very upset!!

I purchased the mobile because it said it had a dimming light as well as the music/sound. Open the product & put it together...not only did it look extremely cheap, it's "dimming light" is the battery life indicator. I purchased the mobile so my baby could actually see it. How is a baby going to be soothed by a mobile in a pitch dark room that is impossible to see!?! Needless to say I'm returning it. If you're looking for a mobile for the sounds/music, it's nice (but I already have 4 sound machines for her). Again, not worth the money.

We have struggled to get our 3 month old to sleep in his crib because he loves his swing so much. He loves to lay under his mobile (the one that I purchased to match his crib bedding) but you have to crank it every 30 seconds which gets really annoying. I wanted to try this mobile because 1) it was battery operated, 2) it had a dimming feature that would dim the music to get the baby to wind down and drift off to sleep. This mobile has worked perfectly and our son has slept in his crib ever since we hooked it up. The music is also nice as opposed to some other mobiles on the market. This mobile is worth every penny we spent on it just based on getting our son into his crib instead of sleeping in his swing. The low battery indicator is really nice to have because there are no surprises at nap time with the batteries being dead.

As for getting it attached to the crib, we have a convertible crib and the strap that goes around the frame works great as long as you pull the strap tight enough. The first time we put it on it wiggled a little lose but my husband pulled it tight and it doesn't move anymore. Our crib has a very wide flat ledge which was hard to fit other mobiles on. As for the comment about clicking, I noticed that it clicked the first time (when it was leaning over), once we got it snug and upright the clicking stopped. The piece that turns the mobile was having a hard time turning because the mobile was not level.

LIKE: 1. The way the mobile attached to the crib, it is really made for ANY crib railing which was very nice and sturdy. 2. Music was soothing and relaxing. 3. Remote control feature.
DISLIKE: 1. CLICKING WHILE MOBILE WAS TURNING. It was so loud you could hear it over the music. This was super annoying to me and I could only imagine how it would be for a baby to listen to that trying to go to sleep!
We replaced this mobile with the Fisher-Price Peek-A-Boo Leaves Musical Mobile and we love it. The music is so soothing and quiet and the mobile makes NO noise!
