Wet and Wild Fun for Your Little One!

My daughter, Riley, waited patiently for me to finish putting this toy together, which didn't take long at all. The directions were very clear and assembly took me about 30 minutes to complete. Then, it was time to head outside and take this baby for a spin! Thank goodness that late February/early March here in Texas had temperatures already reaching the high 70's!

The Step2 Tropical Island Resort Water Table just has so many fun activities to do! There's a water slide, a spinning merry-go-round, a diving board and movable water gates to block the boat from sailing all the way around the table...and that's just the RIGHT HAND SIDE of this toy! Riley was fascinated by the diving board and once I showed her how to work it, she couldn't get enough of launching her little guys high into the air to splash into the water below.

The left hand side of the Tropical Island Resort Water Table includes a mini-lagoon which is filled by pumping up and down on the blue geyser. Pump it hard enough and you'll inadvertently squirt yourself in the process. My daughter would squeal with delight when she'd accidentally pump the geyser too hard. There's also a large palm tree which has some spinning gears and a movable monkey hanging from it. When water's poured on top of the palm tree using either the included yellow cup or blue boat, water will stream down on all sides and make the wheels and gears spin.

The Step2 Tropical Island Resort Water Table is a quality toy that's well-designed and built to last. There are a few places where removable parts such as the slide and diving board could fit a little better, but other than that, I don't have one criticism of this toy.

Riley looks forward to playing with the Tropical Island Resort every day and it will usually hold her attention for at least an hour! So if you're looking for a terrific outdoor toy for the warmer months ahead, be sure to take your child on an imagination holiday with this sand and surf-inspired activity center from Step2!

Really like the looks of the product and some of the features work ok-not really happy about the spinning wheels attached to the tree-they don't spin when the water is poured over the top. Also the base of the slide doesn't fit down into the hole provided so it tends to fall off. The diving board also falls off whenever they try to make the person dive into the pool. The gates also don't seem to stay into their holes very well. These are 3 and 4 year olds, which is the age group that should be able to use it without things falling off. It is bright and colorful and comes with several people/fish so that is good, but wish all the parts work better and stayed together while playing.

This was far from fun to assemble, but our almost 2 year old LOVES playing with it!
I like that the Toys R Us version comes with the umbrella (all the other stores I saw it was sold seperately).

I Purchased product for 18 month old daughter. Was extremely difficult to put together. Took several hours by myself to do. After item was put together, there is a continual leak from both areas on the bottom of table. I have tightened the screws, my husband has tightened the screws. However there is still a leak. The plug also leaks. Like other reviews, items on tree i.e. wheels and monkey, do not spin when water is poured on top. I personally wish I could take items back.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

My parents got this for my daughter for her first birthday, and now that its warm enough to use she loves it! My husband works in law enforcement and works nights, so i put this baby together while he was sleeping.(EEK!) For some reason my box didnt come with instructions, so i had to go back several times and re do where some of the screws went. It was challenging and took more time than it probably normally would but i finally got it together. The whole pump thing was an issue, but my MIL figured it out and it works great. This is totally something ill buy my friends when they have kids because they love it, and like i said, when my little princess is cranky and wont take a nap, we go play with this for a little bit, take a quick bath and she is out!!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

My parents bought this for our 2 1/2 year old son. Looks great on the box. It was a nightmare to put together. There are no screw holes for the legs, screws are not marked and in general just took much too much time to assemble. The add ons are already falling off and can't be adhered securely. By the time I was done with the assembly, the day was over and our son didn't even have time to play with it.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

            I bought this for my daughter's 2nd birthday. She LOVES it and wants to play with it every chance she gets. My 6 and 9 year old love to play along side her with it. My only concern is it seems to have water trapped inside it which can be a problem here because it's so humid. I'm afraid it is going to start molding.
