My 5 year old had you can say is a melt down. He hit his leaf blower off of the floor, NOT HARD at all. It broke in half. Green balls everywhere. Thinking that this would be a quick put it back together fix due to it looking like it popped out my husband was going to fix it. NOT when popping it back in place the one wire holding the whole thing together broke. Yes one wire holding everything in place. If you are looking for a durable toy this is not it. If your child would drop this outside it would break

This toy is wonderful. My 2 yr old son has be playing with it non stop since he got it about 6 wks ago. I almost fell off my chair laughing that someone complained that it didn't blow out air.... It's a toy, not a real leaf blower. And if the spin / lights stop working just change the batteries people. I have not yet had to do so with the blower, however my son also has the chainsaw which we did need the change the batteries for almost immediately after opening. Love love love!!

Noise and lights work but fans won't spin after just a couple of weeks. Our son loves it and now brings it to us constantly upset that it doesn't work properly.

My son had this toy from Santa for about 2 hours. It came apart. Complete juk! Also bought the weed wackier, and the light quit working on that. What a waste.

My family has only owned this toy for about 3 hours but if I've learned anything its that you probably need to change the batteries as soon as you take it out of the box.

My three year old twin boys each received one tonight for Christmas. The toy is very cool and between the lights spinning and the beads bouncing around it really does make them feel like they're operating a real blower (note it doesn't blow air and was never intended to).

However, within 15 minutes one of the blowers light would not spin. The odd part was that the motor would run and the beads would bounce around. We assumed it was defective and ran to the store to make an exchange. Upon getting home one of the other original ones we received started having the same problem. This time we tried changing the batteries and suddenly the motor ran faster and the lights worked. My guess is that this toy requires full (or close to full) battery power to work and as the batteries run down elements of the toy that require less power work but the lights won't spin. To a three year old if the lights don't spin its broken. LOL

I'm wondering if some of the negative reviews of this product might not have been from the same issue. I just can't see Home Depot licensing a product that is total garbage. If we have any major issues from here on I'll come back and update, otherwise assume that simply changing the batteries will solve the problems most people are having.

My 2 year old son is obsessed with gardening tools and ever since he saw this leaf blower at toys r us he just had to have it. I had read reviews saying it was no good and it would stop working day one. However, being that he really wanted it and there aren't any other leaf blowers I could find I bought it for him. I shouldn't be shocked but the reviews were right. Only 7 hours having this leaf blower and the sound affects don't work. The lights don't work either. At first I hoped it was the batteries but after putting in brand new batteries it still did not work. I tried my other method of hitting it a few times with my hand and then it would work and randomly stop and start again after a few more slams. It's just very disappointing when he was so in love with this toy and only few hours into having it it stops working. He comes up to me every couple minutes saying mom fix it! I feel so bad for him, and it makes me angry that this problem hasnt been corrected when so many other parents have had the same issue.

This product should be pulled from your shelves. I bought two (second one delivered in good time). First one opened by excited grandson and two engineers could not make it work. Put in new batteries, etc. Package had not been disturbed. Totally defective. Cost was around $28 or so. Huge disappointment to little birthday boy. I returned it and recommended that this product be rejected. Not up to Toys R Us standards. Returned second one immediately.

Our son loved it. He is 23 months old and loves my husband's blower so having his own was great. He loves the noise and takes it all over the house and outside when our lawn maintenance guys come. He would probably like it even more if it actually blew air out to move dirt.
