Both my girls just LOVE the show Strawberry Shortcake and Grandma thought this would be a great gift for them. They love playing with it, but it's one of if not the most annoying toy we own. The scanner if you hold the button it will just keep going with it's loud high pitch sound. And they really enjoy holding the button a little too much on occasion. The cash register part also gets stuck as well and I usually have to fix it for them a couple of times while they are playing with it. The credit card slot also doesn't always work either and I have to fix that as well when it gets stuck. I doubt it will last more than six months, which I am glad for and cannot wait for the thing to die.

My girls love this cash register. I like the fact that it works just like a real calculator. My only cokmplaint is the credit card part. It doesnt actually slide (you just press it down).

Cute, but buttons stopped beeping

So cute- but the buttons stopped beeping after a day of regular play. I don't think it's too noisy, but it is cheaply made as another reviewer stated. We'll keep one and return the others. (buy one get one free offer during holidays). We had plenty of shopping bags or baskets from other play sets, so we used something else. Would have been cute with a small plastic basket or something. Wouldn't have been hard to add that on. However, all the registers we saw online had mixed reviews. Can anyone make a good register?
