Comments about Baby Jogger 1006582 Baby Jogger City Mini GT Stroller - Shadow Green:

I loved this stroller when I first got it because it is very light and easy to manuever but there could be quite a few improvements and has fallen apart over the year I've had it and I've only used it a handful of times. The cost of this stroller is above what is should be. The tray that goes with it is too high and slants away from the child so the child can't see what is in the tray. The seat sits the child back too far so they can't see out very well. My daughter prefers to sit in her umbrella stroller because she can see out more. But the third and most frustrating thing about this stroller is the front wheel lock. This stroller is fine without being locked. I only walk briskly and have never needed to lock the front wheel but about a month after the parts were covered, about 14 months after purchase, the front wheel lock decides to lock itself every few seconds when I am pushing the stroller. This is the most frustrating thing since it's in the front, very hard to get to, and when you are trying to get through tough tight spaces, you can't manuever it. I'm going to be contacting Baby Jogger to see what they can do for me but this is way beyond annoying. It also locks when I am trying to fold it up, so the one hand fold no longer applies. So if you purchase this stroller, it's a must to buy the extended warranty. But then again for the cost of this stroller, there should already be a 2-3 year manufacturer's warranty. Another complaint is, it is almost impossible to get anything in and out of the basket below. There is just enough space without having to push and pull to get things in and out. This is also very frustrating. Especially if you have a sleeping child in the stroller.

HUGE NEWS FROM BABY JOGGER'S WEBSITE

Comments about Baby Jogger 1006582 Baby Jogger City Mini GT Stroller - Shadow Green:

Please note, according to the FAQ section of the Baby Jogger site:
"*Baby Jogger Car Seat Adaptors are compatible with the Graco SnugRide Classic-Connect models only. The Graco SnugRide Click-Connect models are not currently compatible."

SO, don't go purchase the SnugRide Click-Connect and this and expect the two to work together, 'cause they don't. That's an important distinction that I think is missed by a lot of people (and unfortunately missed by the person that helped us select these two products).

This stroller seems like it will be fantastic, just not when our babe is an infant.

Stroller is great. The infant seat attachment puts the seat in an incline position and forces the baby forward. It would be nice if it was angled down...the seat is already positioned to have the baby sitting correctly, the attachment changes that.

Bought this jogger with the travel bag for my 4 month old. Love that the back is netted for breathability. and the handle grip is rubber and not cushion. It is VERY easy to assemble and travel with. I do not believe this jogger is the best for strenuous running but it is great for jogging and easy maneuvering for mall trips. It has very little body and neck support for young infants but I would recommend for 6 months+. Nice quality and priced accordingly.

Comments about Baby Jogger 1006582 Baby Jogger City Mini GT Stroller - Shadow Green:

I caved and dished out the extra cash to buy this stroller and I'm so glad I did. As a first time mom, I really didn't know what to look for in a stroller, so I owned a couple of others before finding this one. One stroller I owned was the babytrend jogging stroller and I was so disappointed with the quality and functionality of it that I finally decided to buy the City Mini GT. This stroller is awesome... it glides nicely, turns on a dime, easy to open and the one hand folding feature is amazing and makes storing so much easier. I love that there are no gaps for cold wind or sun to get through when the baby is in the stroller unlike the others I've owned. The sunshade is amazing and I love that when the back is reclined you have the option to leave the back open for ventilation or you can pull the little curtain thing down for closure. The hand brake is a huge plus especially for those who wear open toe shoes frequently and the two spacious storage compartments make it even better. I love the adjustable shoulder straps and padded seat, too. Clearly, the features on this stroller are well worth the money. I wish I had known about this stroller from the very beginning. I highly recommend it! Oh, and the green color is so much more vibrant and nice in person than on the website.

Comments about Baby Jogger 1006582 Baby Jogger City Mini GT Stroller - Shadow Green:

I bought this because I own the city elite double which I love due to the ease of folding/unfolding, the sunshades and the side vbents. The city elite as soon as you start lifting it up, it seems to practically unfold on it's own. With this stroller, maybe because it's an entirely new model between the city mini and elite, seems to have a different frame that folds easily and has clip to lock it which is nice, but unfolding is a different story. I felt like it kind of freezes or locks when you're trying to unfold and I practically had to put it on the ground to manually unfold it. In addition, although it has a high seat back, the canopy felt low and hit my son's head when folded back. You would think baby jogger would make a canopy like other strollers that comes above the child's head when folded back for room to grow. Sure if you fold the canopy all the way down it won't hit his head, but than it's like he's in a cave and can't see out which isn't good for older toddlers. Also, the city mini GT does not have the nice air vents like the elite and it has a better footrest on the elite. Overall even though the elite is bulkier, it's a much better product than the city mini GT in my opinion.

Comments about Baby Jogger 1006582 Baby Jogger City Mini GT Stroller - Shadow Green:

We originally purchased the regular City Mini because I wanted something that was easy to close but after assembling it, we realized that the handlebar was too high for me (I'm 5'4). Sent it back and purchased the City Mini GT instead and glad we did. The handlebar is adjustable but better yet there is a hand brake. This means that I can use the brake while wearing open-toed shoes! Living in Houston, that's all I wear all summer long. Also like the all-terrain tires better so that we can roll it over gravel or grass. The canopy extends pretty far down and that keeps our baby in more shade. We have a Chicco Key Fit 30 carrier and are using the adapter and it's just fine.

The ONE thing they could still improve on (and I heard it was worse in the 2011 model) is that the basket is still hard to get to. We would prefer to put our diaper bag in there but we really have to shove it to get it in. It's a hassle to take out too so we end up just hanging it on the handlebar. But with all of the other perks, I think it's still the best stroller.

Comments about Baby Jogger 1006582 Baby Jogger City Mini GT Stroller - Shadow Green:

I had originally purchased a BOB to use around town since the reviews indicated how perfect it was on uneven surfaces. It was wonderful but way too large to take into the neighborhood stores. And, since I am not a runner, I really didn't need a jogging stroller. I just wanted something that had a smooth ride for the baby on bumpy surfaces and a large canopy . The wheels & canopy on the City Mini GT are perfect!! It's easy to maneuver, great on bumpy streets, uneven sidewalks, gravel, grass, etc. and the canopy is absolutely huge! Even though the BOB was an awesome stroller, this one is way better suited for what I need. So, BOB and I had to part ways. Just keep in mind, the City Mini GT is not a jogger! There's an awesome video review on Youtube - Just search using Baby Gizmo City Mini GT. They also have a review by Baby Gizmo of the City Mini vs City Mini GT that helps you decide if the added $ for the GT is worth it to you. It all depends on what features are most important to you. The regular City Mini weighs about 4 lbs less, has a lower weight limit for the rider and wheels that aren't as "all terrain". But I decided that the added weight and added money were worth it to me to have the more versatile tires and a stroller I can use until the rider is heavier without having to buy a different stroller. On another note: Samsonite makes a great bag to carry this stroller around in and I believe would work well for travel. It's called a Samsonite Tote-A-Ton and I picked it up at my local [@] for $19.99 less my 20% off coupon. Other stores may have it as well. I haven't checked. I just stumbled upon it at [@] and it worked out perfectly. I only had to take the 2 rear wheels off and everything popped right in. The fabric of the bag seems quite sturdy. For air travel I'd probably wrap a towel or something around the wheels to keep them from puncturing the bag or stroller fabric but that's easy enough to do. The bag will be perfect for packing the stroller away to keep it clean and also to cover it in my SUV to prevent fading.I would highly recommend the City Mini GT. It's awesome!
