My doctor suggested that we give my 7.5 month old son an actual cup because we drink for a cup, not a sippy cup or from a straw. This seemed like the best cup for him and it is great! If he turns the cup upside down only a small amount of water comes out so nothing is getting soaked. Otherwise the cup only let's water out when pressure hits the lip of the cup. The top of his shirt was a bit wet after using the cup but he is only 7.5 months old! He just needs to learn how to hold the cup and position it properly and this cup will teach him that without him getting him drenched. We have to fill the cup all the way because he hasn't figured out how to tilt the cup and his head far back yet. As far as taking it apart to clean and reassemble....once you realize the words Philips and Avent face up on both the pieces it's easy to assemble! And I love that it comes with a lid for travel!

This is great cup! My son is 13 months and drinks best out of this cup versus all the other sippy cups we have tried. Complete success.

I LIVE IN A HOT AREA. I WANTED MY LO TO DRINK WATER AND THIS WAS THE BEST THING EVER. SINCE HE IS TEETHING HE CAN BITE DOWN ON IT AND GET A DRINK AT THE SAME TIME AND NOW HE KNOWS ALL HE HAS TO DO IS PUT HIS LIPS ON IT. ITS AWESOME AND I WOULD RECOMMEND IT 100X
