    I too am disappointed in the Melissa & Doug items. I thought it would be a good thing for my daughter to identify letters and numbers with since she learns this at daycare but I am extremely disappointed. The same thing happened with these as they did with the numbers by Melissa & Doug that I purchased at the same time; as my daughter was pulling the pieces apart the first night we received them, some of the pieces broke. I e-mailed Melissa & Doug early the following day, and have yet to receive a reply, and it's been over a week. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED.

    I am getting frustrated with Melissa and Doug toys. It seems like everything we have purchased, has had unfinished edges and is cheap. There were splinters on the edges, and I wuold have had to sand each piece just to make it usable for my daughter. The pieces are thin, and hard to put together. A child would have a hard time with this puzzle. The pictures are very colorful and nice though. I am going to try to return it, but not sure if they will take it back since it has been opened.
