IT IS NOT A ROMAN SHADE!!!! You don't know that unless you read all the description & "read between the lines." We did know before we bought it that it was a roller shade, but we were hoping it would look like an actual Roman Shade when installed, but it did not. This is a VERY expensive roller shade made out of fabric that has a few lines sewn into it to make it appear almost like a Roman Shade. Once installed the shade didn't roll back up no matter what we did. Product Features stated that this Roman Shade was room darkening - we installed our in our daughter's nursery late in the afternoon & the room was almost as bright with the shade down as it was with it up. We had to uninstall this & bring it back.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
