I bought this for my 3rd child. We knew this was one of the safest brands out there. For the price range I wanted to stick to, this has almost everything on my wish list. We've used it for 3 months now. Overall, I would recommend it to someone looking for a combo. The stroller needs some improvements but the car seat is great.

-We were going to be surprised on the gender but felt this stroller and car seat was neutral enough that it would be ok with either a boy or girl. The purple is very dark and deep. The texture on there is another thing that drew me to it.

-The stroller was easy enough for me to figure out how to assemble it without my husband's help.

-The cupholder up by the handle is too shallow. So a tall takeout cup isn't as secure as I'd like. Be careful going over bumps so it doesn't tip over and spill.

-The basket is impossible to access when the stroller is in the bassinet position, which is 100% of the time right now while you have an infant. The car seat sits in the stroller while the seat is fully reclined. Luckily, my diaper bag clips on to the handle and I bought a "mommy clip" to help with the problem.

-The handle bar is adjustable which works great for my husband and I. We're about a foot in height difference. The handle is comfortable and easy to push and manuever with 1 hand. That definitely helps when you're trying to push the stroller through doors or carrying things in 1 hand.

-The compartment is very small and doesn't hold hardly anything. I wish it was bigger to make it worthwhile.

-The canopy on the stroller is great because it adjusts up and down, along with open and closed. It really helps block out the sun from any angle you need. The canopy on the car seat could be a little longer. I don't think it pulls down as far as I need to shade the baby. But when the carseat is in the stroller, the two shades overlap for complete coverage.

-The car seat is great. It's easy to get the baby in and out. It does seem to make the baby warm. Also, if you like to put the seat up high on grocery carts, it doesn't really fit securely up there.

As a first time mom I did a lot of research prior to purchasing this stroller and as far as the overall functionality of the product, it's not bad, however there are certain aspects that have been nothing short of inconvenient. On a strictly cosmetic standpoint, the stickers on the infant carrier/base do NOT come off easily. In fact, mine won't come off at all without leaving really ugly adhesive marks behind. As far as convenience, I don't know why but my infant carrier is a pain to snap into the stroller. The material on the side of the stroller constantly covers the locking mechanism, which results in me having to pull the fabric a certain way just to get the seat locked into place on both sides. Not convenient if you've got your hands full and you're by yourself. As for storage, there's not much of it. I can't place anything on the bottom pouch after the seat is in place, so half the time I end up carrying the diaper bag on my shoulder. But the one thing that really caught me off guard was locking the carseat into the base. Please be aware, that upon initial insertion of the seat, you need to hear clicks for it to be properly locked. NOT ONE. I don't know what made me check but I'm thankful I caught it, after buckling my daughter in, as I was sitting in the driver's seat I decided to give the seat a little nudge to ensure it was locked completely, only to hear it click 2 more times! Now I have to constantly nudge it when I'm in the driver's seat, because it won't lock for me completely unless I do. So please, BE AWARE of this. My husband on the other hand has no issues getting it to lock the first time, so I'm not sure if height plays a factor. The best thing about this stroller is it's maneuverability. It's extremely easy to push/guide (with one hand) and very lightweight.

Comments about Chicco Cortina Travel System Stroller - Gemini:

This stroller is great! Super easy to use. Opens, folds, pushes, steers, and reclines with minimal effort. It's not too heavy, I mean it is a full-size stroller so it's as heavy as expected. It's nice that it doesn't touch the ground when folding. Very comfortable for baby. Good sized basket and it has two cupholders, plus one for baby.

The Infant Seat is nice and I felt good about it safety wise. The supports that it comes with are nice and they come right out when no longer needed.

Much better quality than the Graco products I bought last time. The only thing I would change is a larger canopy, but it does go down to block the sun.

Comments about Chicco Cortina Travel System Stroller - Gemini:

I thought I did my research, even brought baby in store for a test drive but it's a big difference in the real world!! The carriage is poorly made, it CAN NOT HANDLE sidewalks, it's a very bumpy ride for baby even in the car seat on top. As other people said, it won't fit into shopping carts (on top) you can't access the storage basket once you recline seat, or lock the car the seat on top. It might look nice but there is no suspension. The handle bar is loose even when it's locked into a position, the seat is cheap- it can't support the baby properly, one wheel is already squeaking- THE CARRIAGE IS HEAVY AND HUGE - it takes up my whole trunk. I look like a moron trying to open and close the carriage- it's a huge process - I have to load baby in car, then put up the back seat to take out my diaper bag- then fold down the handle bar, then compact the carriage, then fight to store it in my trunk- way too much work. I loved the car seat until today, baby was so hot he was soaked after 15 minutes - not to mention he was very upset.

Comments about Chicco Cortina Travel System Stroller - Gemini:

I had also done research prior to purchase, and was concerned with safety and ease and use of product. Consumer Reports did rate this very high, but I also do not like the fact that the stroller will not move into a upright sitting position, but is in a recline position when moved up. My granddaughter is only 4 months old, and I know this will be a problem when she gets older and wants to sit up. Another issue I have is that the baby gets very hot and sticky sitting in this carseat, and the main thing I do not like is that it does not have the grooves to fit in a shopping basket. Some baskets I can get her into the top part but the car seat is pushed forward and it looks very ackward, and I am very short and cannot see over the carseat. The carseat is also very heavy.

Very nice car seat and stroller. A lot of nice features, EXCEPT, the car seat does NOT have a grove in it to allow it to sit in the seat of a shopping cart. This is something I didn't think to look for. Many car seats have a grove that the back of the seat portion on a shopping cart slides into so that you can attach it easily, this does not and I have been very frustrated. To grocery shop, if I want to leave her in the car seat while shopping I have to put it in the inside of the cart, which left no room for groceries. Would not buy again because of this small, yet very inconvenient, detail.

Comments about Chicco Cortina Travel System Stroller - Gemini:

We love the car seat and the functioning of the stroller with the car seat attached. What we hate is the stroller used on its own. Now that our son is eight months old, he has started using the stroller alone (no car seat as a basinette inside the stroller since he is old enough to want to sit up and look around) and it simply is not working for him. The seat back in the stroller does not sit up 100% straight. Even the most upright position is quite reclined. This reclined position causes him to slide down, towards the foot rest. Since there is no center bar between the legs, only the seat belt keeps him from sliding right out under the tray and onto the floor. Being held in by a thin seat belt between your legs is not comfortable. It is awful. I think our $20 umbrella stroller would be a better option at this point. Perhaps when he is many months older this won't be an issue, but it appears there is a problem in the time gap between being too old to ride in the car seat inside the stoller and too young to just ride in this stroller. The space under the tray is huge, and would allow any baby to slide out. He is not a small 8 month old, either, he is outgrowing his 12 month size clothes. He does much better sitting in the child seat of a shopping cart than in this stroller.

Comments about Chicco Cortina Travel System Stroller - Gemini:

After much research and great reviews we decided to register for the Chicco Cortina travel system. I fell in love with the color and over all look of it. The stroller was very easy to use, although it pretty much takes up the trunk space in a small sedan car, & when you are using the car seat in the stroller, it's hard to get the diaper bag / shopping bags in and out of the stroller basket.
The car seat is made very well, our baby seems to fit very snug and protected.
The only complaint with the car seat, it seems to make our baby hot and is a tad heavy, but overall I would buy another one! We love it!!

Comments about Chicco Cortina Travel System Stroller - Gemini:

I knew I wanted a full service stroller travel system when I was pregnant and after research this stroller had what I wanted for the price range.
In the store: I found it to be easy to open and close and the car seat was plush with comfort in mind.
At home before baby: I was able to put it together myself (I was in my 2nd trimester). The car seat base is so easy to install and such great piece of mind to know that my baby is safe.
At home after my baby: (Car seat) My baby was born just over 5 pounds and the car seat inserts were all I needed to keep her sung and safe. I have to say that the car seat straps are easy to use they don't twist or pull out evenly like other car seat straps. (Stroller) is really great and opens with one hand and closes with out having to use a latch to keep it together. You can push the stroller with ease even one handed. Everything on the stroller works well and with ease. The basket can hold a diaper bag and a shopping bag but that is about it and the parent tray can only hold a drink and your keys however I think if any of that were any bigger than this would be a really huge stroller. I am a smaller and shorter person so I do feel like the car seat and stroller is a bit on the heavier side however I have no problems getting the stroller in and out of my Dodge Caravan (smaller trunk model).
