There are definitly pros and cons when using this product. I will start with all of the pros. As an occupational therapist, I am constantly trying to find new and different textures for kids to play in. Children with sensory integration disorders typically do not like textures that stick to them or those that do not easily come off. This is definitly a texture that sticks around on hands when you are finished using it, making it both a pro and a con. It has a very unique smell and the color does transfer onto your hands. The slimey nature of it also remains on hands until washed. When you touch it initially it is often cold, and warms up with play; however, when the kids let it roll off their hands slowly it cools down quickly. This can help kids work on temperature regulation and understanding the difference between warm and cold. Although I greatly enjoy using this in the clinic when thinking about its use at home, there are several cons to the product. The color is easily transfered onto anything that the slime touches. It will come out of clothing with pretreating. When the kids play with it on the table, the surface remains a flourescent yellow for a few days. The table is washed between 10-15 times a day, depending on how many kids come through the clinic, meaning between 30 and 45 washes before the yellow hue disappears. When I send this home with parents I recommend placing plastic wrap down on the table and taping the sides down to the table. This prevents the color from transfering onto the table. The color on the hands is easy to remove after a few handwashes. The temperature of the slime also varies.
With all this being said I give the product an overall rating of 5. With my OT background I like kids to being in messy textures that can stick around; however, I completely understand (being a compulsive cleaner) that some messy products are not good for home. This is a wonderful product that holds up with use. It is easy to play with but at times difficult to clean up. I recommend this product to any parent that does not mind a little mess or to anyone that has children with sensory issues. It is fun to use but beware that its color may stick around.

Does not come off of hands, tables etc. Better to make your own slime at home. The worst product we have bought, had to throw it away & the 5 year old agreed. Lesson learned: don't trust advertisements.
