    I am a mom of twin four year old girls who wanted a Barbie house for their birthday. Not a problem; however, my hubby is navy and we are transferring. I had wanted to purchase them either the townhouse or the A-Frame house, but unfortunately those wouldn't fit into the minivan and to be honest the latter of the two looked to be much too flimsy for my rambunctious crew. Therein was my dilemma-get a Barbie house large enough for twins, yet durable, that I can stuff in the trunk of my van and still fit other things to include our CAT for a12 hour dity move!! then I found this house!! I was hesitant as I was sure my girls would have it broken in no time just like they did the pink Barbie airplane. I bought it, put it together and a half hour later while rough housing my larger twin had fallen or should I say cannonballed backwards off of her bed onto the house. I checked it and guess what??? It's STILL together!!!! Sure the stove had moved, but it's supposed to do that. I just put the stove back in its place and stood the house back up. This house withstood a 52 pound four year old girl falling full body on it, and they BOTH play with it and it's still together!! A good house in my book! I guess Santa can bring the townhouse. :D

    This toy is very cheap. I love this toy but the problem is that the oven can move real easily. Another problem is that I added a couch to the house that I got from another Barbie toy. After that day there were black marks all over the floor where the couch was. Should I be complaining about the house because paint can get on it real easily or the couch for making the marks?

            My 3 year old daughter has had this dollhouse for about 6 months, since Christmas (was a Black Friday buy). She plays with it just about daily. It's fun and interactive for her as there is lots to explore.

            The TV rotates to 'change channels' and the bed can be let out as a full bed or folded to be a daybed. The height of the house is perfect for a 3 year old. There are many little pieces for the kitchen area (milk container, pot, plates, cups, spatula, etcetera).

            Unfortunately, the refrigerator DOES NOT stay in place, even though there is a grooved area on the house allocated for it. It easily topples over without much effort. Just placing an item inside of it can cause it to come out of place. Plus, they door does not stay closed. Unlike the refrigerator, the toilet in the bathroom stays firmly in place once positioned. The steps leading to the second story are relatively sturdy as well.

            The dollhouse doesn't take up much space and fits nicely against a wall. It is easy to move out onto the main floor area for play, as well as to expose the back area of the dollhouse which doubles as an outdoor lounge area. The refrigerator top folds over to cover the sink & range and reveals a flat serving area/table top.

            I was able to assemble this dollhouse in about 20 minutes.

              My daughter had the HUGE 3 floor one first, but she hated how it took up a TON of room. So she asked for this in exchange. I wish I would have bought this in the first place!!! Does everything the huge one does but in a smaller space. Assembly was much easier on this one... Plus to me is was better quality and designed smarter!! She loved this one! Price was super cheap compared to anything else!!

                  My nieces 7th birthday. She had a 'Barbie birthday' and we let her open my present first. She had 6 little girls coming over shortly, so getting her first playhouse was so amazing. There was squealing and lots of hugs. It has even been able to withstand her little brothers--age 5 and 2. This was very easy to put together and has been very sturdy. Thanks Mattel for making such quality toys.

                  My granddaughter saw the Beach House in an ad and immediately wanted to add it to her "Barbie Collection." I went online to Mattel and found it just before Christmas. It shipped and was received 4 days after the order! It's so fun to see the excitement on a child's face when opening a special gift. She has played with the Barbie Beach House ever since Christmas morning!

                      After searching countless sites for a gift for my daughter, I came upon this beach house at Mattel.com. It was very nicely priced and included everything an 8 year girl could want, including a two-story layout with many home accessories. She was super excited when she saw the box and even more so, once we set it up. She plays with it for hours at a time. It is one of the grandest doll houses she's had! Mattel was the ONLY place to have this beach house in stock!

                      This was my daughter's first Barbie house (she is almost 3). It was easy to put together, does not take up much room, and included enough furniture & accessories to keep her interested. The kitchen piece does not connect so it may be more of a challenge to play with if your child is rough on things.
