My 4 year old LOVES this toy! Merida stays on Angus better than regular Barbies because of the hinged knees. The quality is wonderful, of course, and is holding up well with the constant abuse my 4 year old applies regularly. It would have been nice to have a bow and arrow, but I guess you can't have everything.

This was a gift for my daughter who loves Merida and pretend play. She was very excited when she opened it. She played with it for a little while and had fun with it. When I was putting it away, I noticed that the Merida doll is made of very thin plastic. It isn't like a Barbie, it is more like a dollar store "Barbie" doll plastic. Angus, the horse is a hard plastic but still cheaply made. The fore crop on his head is plastic, not hair like the mane, and isn't assembled all that well. If my daughter dropped him on the tile floor, I think a leg might break off. We've purchased other princess and horse sets for half the price of this one and they were much better quality. Overall, I'd say it is cute, but poor quality for the price.

My daughter received this item as a Christmas present. Within 1 hour of opening it, the hair on Angus the horse's tail started falling out in huge chunks. I did a search online and found some similar reviews. I immediately contacted Mattel and they responded in less than 24 hours that they are sending out a replacement item. I hope that this one doesn't have similar issues.

                My 5 year old got it for her birthday. She is very rough with her toys, both are holding up just fine. Not sure what happened to the other ladies' that posted but we are having good luck so far. My con would be Angus could of been better made, my first thought was he looked cheap.

                I bought this for my 4 year old.In 2 or 3 days she dropped the doll on the floor and the leg broke off.This doll is very poorly made.I went to the Disney store and bought her the one made to last.I would not recommend this at all.
