Comments about Learning Resources Farmer'S Market Color Sorting Set:
I'm a big fan of the New Sprouts line of pretend food and I almost missed this set because for some reason they don't call it New sprouts even though it is the same quality and same size etc as the New sprouts line. Once I saw this set I had to have it I love that it contains a wider assortment of fruits and vegges. Each bushel contains 5 foods of each color. I took the blank sticker that comes along and put it on the inside of the bushel behind where the color sticker went on the outside so that no matter which way the bushel is facing you can see what color is meant to go in there either by looking inside or outside. For some reason they don't list what the set contains in the description so here it is:red: apple, grapes, raspberries, strawberry, tomatoyellow: apple, banana, corn, lemon, pepperorange: apricot, carrot, clementine/orange, pepper, pumpkingreen: apple, broccoli, cucumber, lime, pepperpurple: berries, eggplant, grapes, onion, plumThe only thing that disappointed me about this set is that it didn't include the red pepper because it comes with the other 3 colors of peppers. I had actually purchased the new sprout veggie bushel and when I found this set I returned it because I thought I had everything covered either in this set or others I had purchased and it turns out the red pepper is only available in the veggie bushel.Personally to make this set perfect I would replace the red grapes with a red pepper because I don't really think red grapes are that common and I would replace something green like the cucumber (because that one is available in other sets) with green grapes instead. But that's just a nitpicky thing on my part.I love the brand, I love the new sprouts line, it is hands down the best toddler play food I have ever seen! I got so excited about it I went way over the Christmas budget this year getting it for my daughter because Mommy wants to play with it too!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Great toy for learning colors and doubles as play food. You can set up the little bins like a farmers market and it makes for fun pretend play. Sorting all of the foods into the color labeled buns really helps with reprieve learning so the idea sticks.
