Fans of the Spider-Man franchise can enter the super hero's world through an interactive, action-packed format with The Amazing Spider-Man game for Nintendo Wii. The game continues the storyline of the 2012 Spider-Man movie, allowing fans who want more information to get a behind-the-scenes look at what is going on with their friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. The single player action-adventure, which is rated teen for mild language and violence, presents players with numerous villains, random missions, and fast web-slinging action. Teen and adult players will enjoy the acrobatic action and the ability to move through all of Manhattan.

Features and Accessories

Random missions can extend play time and provide additional challenges. Missions are embedded throughout the game, and you choose whether to accept them. Completing assigned tasks, which include photographing things that could link Oscorp to the villainous activity, gains the player XP points and unlocks extra content within the game.

The graphics and camera work on this video game allow players to develop an idea about the rush that Spider-Man experiences as he slings his way between skyscrapers, above cars, and through the park. Detailed programming and graphics add a realistic touch and even provide a nod to the laws of physics.

The Wii version of this game includes control features and moves that should be familiar to Spider-Man gaming fans on the platform, which may make it easier to adapt to play. An additional Web Rush mode does allow players to slow the action when Spider-Man needs to aim at a target.
