DO not purchase this product. I had it up and running a grand total of three hours and the batteries gave out and of course you can't just replace the battery because they demand that only their battery goes into the unit.

This monitor is very easy to use and is a great deal. I am using it for my second child and it is a blessing to have. I love that when it's plugged in on the nightstand all night the video stays on. When unplugged the video shuts off after a couple minutes to save on the battery but the audio stays on. If you hear the baby stirring you can just hit the button and the video turns back on. I carry it outside while my older child rides his bike and plays with the neighbors while the baby is inside upstairs sleeping and don't loose the connection.

This baby monitor is great, IF it stays on. I've had this monitor for 14 months, and have loved it for the first 13 months. The sound is crystal clear and the video is pretty good quality. However, in the last two weeks it has randomly turned itself off in the middle of the night. I'm a pretty heavy sleeper so I didn't wake up the two times my 1 year old was crying hysterically for who knows how long, before my husband, who is a light sleeper, heard her. I keep the baby monitor plugged in on my nightstand, so the battery was NOT dead. When I picked it up, it turned on just fine.... The whole point of having a baby monitor is to allert/wake you up when your child is upset. Now I'll probably have to buy a different monitor to achieve that.

I looked around and a lot of monitors were more expensive than this one but I couldn't be happier with this monitor. It was easy to set up, it's picture and sound are quite clear and the night vision feature is pretty cool as well. I love being able to see my son and feel secure knowing he's alright. I would definitely recommend this because for the price, I couldn't be happier.

Have had the product for 6 months & the night vision has quit working. Very disappointed- spend the money & get something better! Wish i had read these reviews before i purchased this piece of junk!

The monitor is okay. The color portion is poor, a lot of static and the video monitor doesn't last the entire night unless plugged in. I didn't buy the protection plan which I regret now because I don't think it will last while my little guy is still in his crib

Product worked fine for about two months and then the night vision went out. Bottom line, we purchased it for this reason and it does not work. Babies R Us did not honor the return because we used it, for two months! It is a summer infant product but with the Babies R Us name. Currently working with a customer service rep right now on the phone... Also tragic that we are busy enough as it is right now and will have to get this problem fixed to have piece of mind...oh yeah and they always ask if you bought an in house warranty "return" policy this indicates how bad are the products Babies R Us purchases. This 30 minute phone call which has passed through three different people has been ridiculous. Two more things 1 when a product is on the registry your guests are not going to purchase the "warranty" and 2 you do not use the product from the purchase date because the wee little one has not been born yet so their 45 day return policy is bogus!! Overall lame company and product. My thoughts are "avoid Babies R Us!!"
Currently the "Customer service rep on the phone does not know who their supervisor is or their name. Doubt this will get added to the product comments but thought we would try.

I've had this monitor for 10 months now. I have had intermittant problems with both the sound quality and the picture. The camera that originally came with it now does not work in the dark, so I can't see anything. I had to order a replacement for it. Then a day ago, the hand held monitor went crazy and quit working. It started a continuous loud beep until it died. It will not turn on or recharge. So I am stuck having to buy another expensive monitor system. I have three cameras for this one (two of which work and one without picture). Do I buy it again? Geez!

I am so frustrated with this monitor. I just wish I could rate it below a "1."

First, I had intermittent problems with the monitor's volume setting and adjustability, tho the picture clarity, sound and battery life appear to be decent.

Now, the monitor has locked into some sort of software glitch/function where neither the audio nor video are operable. I've tried sync'ing the cam and monitor, turning both off and also removing the battery from the monitor. For the price, this monitor is a poorly made piece of junk--just what an overly-tired, first-time dad needs to deal with at the end of a long day.
