I found this book at a local Ross store where toys that are unsellable usually end up at a discounted rate. As I shopped around, I put this in the cart for my not quite 2 year old daughter to look at. I was quite shocked to see her point out every single character on every page. It was fun for about 10 minutes, but then she got bored of it. The ones you're looking for are pretty large it doesn't take anytime at all to look for them. I'm just saying, if a baby not even 2 yet can find Donald Duck 3 seconds after turning to the page, it may not be worth your money for an older child.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
