My son is 6 and this is his first Lego set. Days after Christmas I noticed this box sat unopened under the Christmas tree and my son seemed to have no interest in it. I was disappointed as Lego's are not inexpensive and was hoping I didn't make a mistake in puchasing them. I opened the box with my son 5 days ago and spent about 3 minutes showing him what they were and how to use them and he has not played with any other toy since. (Maybe I should have skipped buing all the OTHER gifts!)He absolutely loves them. I will now start buying other brick sets to mix in. What a great product!!!

These are great. They don't have a particular 'scheme' so you're not locked into a specific design. I love that my grandson can totally use his imagination without thinking he has to copy the box. The only thing is that this set came in a cardboard box. It IS heavy duty but the plastic ones are better.
