This came packaged really well to insure it got here without being banged up! Easy to put together and very solid! Plan on replacing the pad that comes with this bassinet. The pad that comes with this bassinet is pretty much just a .75-1" piece of foam with a cover...It folds in half when you try to put a sheet on it. We got a 2" cradle mattress and it fits perfect and its nice and firm but still comfy.

The bassinet was easy to assemble, looks great, and has good air flow. I chose it because the other bassinets have padding around the sides and look like they don't get adequate air flow, which is important to reduce the risk of SIDS. I read reviews of this product on other websites and people were complaining about the pad thickness. I think the pad is great. If it were thicker, it would increase the risk of SIDS. I read people were buying other pads and putting them in this bassinet. It very clearly states on the instructions that only the pad that came with the bassinet should be used. I would not use a different pad. Most bassinets and cradles come with thinner pads - for a reason. The baby needs a thin pad. Also, if the purchased pad doesn't fit properly, the baby can be seriously injured or killed by suffocation. I wouldn't take that chance, but to each his own. My only complaint about this bassinet is that it doesn't seem like there is a lot of support on the bottom- under the pad. There is one strip of wood that fits into grooves on either side of the bassinet. I would feel better if the pad support was screwed in. I also love that it can be used as a toy box once the baby outgrows it - which happens fairly quickly since babies shouldn't be in bassinets once they reach about 4 months. I did not want to spend money on something I would only use a short time. Overall, I am very happy with this bassinet.

This is a beautiful product, which is larger than a bassinet but smaller than a crib. It looks modern and passes safety standards, which is wonderful. It is also easy to assemble. It is nice that after it is outgrown, you can take the legs off easily to have a storage crate. The only problem is that the mattress that comes with it seems rather flimsy and cheap. Therefore, we had to look into buying a "cradle mattress" that didn't seem so flimsy. Note that standard bassinet sheets are too small, so make sure you get cradle sized sheet (18x36).
