The pigs and Birds are nice and will entertain a small child, but this is not a play tested game.

Free style my little angry bird fan has had lots of fun, but as a game it's 'impossible' to make the structures showen let alone knock them over.

Keeps an active child's attention longer than many other toys. My nephew accidentally broke his leg shortly after receiving this toy. He has to scoot everywhere for a bit. The fact that there are few pieces is a big help when he wants to move it from one place to another.

Now let me just start by saying, this is definitely not a game for little, little kids. In fact I'd go as far to say that Mattel didn't quite think it through when marketing this product specifically as a kids game.

Setting the game up can either be very easy or challenging depending on the mission card drawn and how the blocks and pigs are arranged. In fact some blocks require specific methods of placement, such as the ice blocks only being on their sides or else they will always collapse onto the rest of the structure.

Now playing it is fairly simple, if anyone has played Angry Birds you already know how. Pull the birds back and launch them at the structure in an attempt to expel the pigs. As a mechanic this is actually enjoyable in real life as it was in the app version.

Overall I found it to be a fun little game and compared to the first two boxes that most of the peices in Mega Smash are from (Knock on Wood and On Thin Ice) this one is better crafted and the better deal. Though the only downside is you don't get the red bird or dynamite crate.

If your after some stupid fun with friends, totally worth checking into it. If your looking for a fun game for your five year old, try something else.

I really wish I had read the reviews before getting this game. It sounded like fun. My son loves the Angry Birds. However I was quite disappointed.

The structures are difficult to set up. They do not fit together like the cards say they should. The pigs are too big and do not fit in the small spaces like they do on the cards. The ice pieces do not fit well on top of other pieces and like to fall. After a few rounds I was far to frustrated to continue. You need a steady hand and a sturdy table to play this game.

The good side, the pieces look nice and well detailed. The slingshot works good and is not flimsy.

If they makers would have taken more time to design the pieces so they could actually match the cards, it would have been a much better game.

The object of the game is to pick a structure that you want to try to shoot down. You pick a card with a point (and difficulty) value (100, 200 or 300) and someone else has to set it up. You then get the birds pictures on the card to shoot it down.

I was pleased with how the slingshot works. I was worried it would be very flimsy, but it's not. The pieces are made of hard plastic, and the birds and pigs are well detailed from soft plastic.

The problem, as others have noted, is that the structures on the cards are incredibly difficult to set up. I was able to get them set up with lots of trial and error and my 6 year old waiting with boredom. The worst is the 'ice' pieces which don't hold tightly, so you have to get the weight above them balanced correctly to get them to hold. That sometimes means holding one piece in place while trying to stack and balance more.

We quickly gave up on playing the game by the rules, and my son started just setting up his own structures and shooting them down. He did enjoy that, and quickly got a lot better at aiming. It wasn't easy, but he was pretty excited when he was able to take down something he'd built.

I think this product would be a lot better as a 'toy' and not a 'game'. I paid a lot less due to both a coupon and a sale, but I think if I'd paid full price I'd be disappointed. As it is my son is now not nearly as interested in getting the Star Wars version.

I'm going to recommend it, but with the proviso that it really depends on what your kid likes to do. If you're looking for a structured game, this isn't it. If your kid already likes setting up blocks and knocking them down with hotwheels, s/he might enjoy this. Although, not unlike a lot of toys, you're paying a lot for branding, not actual product.

I bought this as a gift for my 4 YO daughter because it looked like lots of fun - but it's not. She likes to play it, but is unable to set up the structures on her own. So, she asks me to set them up for her. Problem is, I can't set up the structures either. The pieces are poorly designed/molded so they are impossible to stack. I get so frustrated after they fall 2-3 times that I give up. My other kids are teens and they can't stack them either. So, it's not just a matter of lack of manual dexterity on the part of the 4 YO. DO NOT BOTHER with this game - it's not worth the cost, effort to (almost) play, or frustration.

The pieces are next to impossible to stack on top of each other, it was absolutely rediculous!! It's a shame because the game was such a cute idea but you will be so mad and frustrated if you purchase this!!
