Did not receive product as pictured - received another 'angry birds' themed backpack. Unfortunately, customer service did not get back to me until after school started, so we are stuck with wrong product. Will be shopping elsewhere in future.

We bought this backpack for my son who is entering Kindergarten. I think it's a good product considering I don't think it's a long-term buy. It doesn't look very sturdy and will probably only last a year or two. But, I am OK with that since it will probably take a harsh beating from my 5 year old.
I think it's perfect for younger grades. If my son was older and was going to be bringing home lots of books, homework, etc. I probably would not have bought this backpack. It has the large, main pocket, a smaller front pocket and some side pouches. There isn't tons of give/expandability because the picture is mounted on a sturdy background; probably so the moving images don't crack
If you're looking for a backpack that will last for years and get your child through elementary school, this is probably not the one for you.
