The walled fortress at Helm's Deep is under attack by the mighty Uruk-hai army. The forces of men, elves, and a dwarf must do everything they can to stop them from breaching the fortress walls. Can they prevent the Berserker Uruk-hai planting the bomb and blowing up the wall? Will they stop the enemy climbing up the siege ladders? The people of Rohan have never faced such a deadly threat!

This was one monster set for my 7 year old to build but we worked through each bag and it was well worth or patience. This set is loaded with great physical play features such as the breaking wall, doors with working braces, and secret passages. The accessories such as weapons and catapults add to the fun but there are also accessories that inspire more than battle play such as the dinning room where we have a recurring theme of someone breaking into the castle to steal the turkey leg!

I was expecting this to be awesome and it was better than my expectations. I would highly recommend this set.

LEGO really put a lot of love and care into these Lord of the Rings sets. There are a lot of cool actions too. The wall blows up, there is catapults, a drawbridge, even a little launcher for Gimli to throw Gimli to the drawbridge like in the movie. The minifigures are great. The helmet are put in their own bags for Theoden and Gimli because of the high level of craftmanship. The set is actually quite large. It looks very impressive when put together. There is also the option to add the Uruk-hai army set which is an expansion to this set. It makes this already formidable set look even better. I was really happy with this set.

This set will be a huge hit with anyone as a gift or for yourself. As the other commenters mentioned you can get this set for one hundred and ten dollars or maybe even less. It is worth that price in my opinion.

It is a good set. Very Fun. Only 3 out of 5 because you can get it like 15 dollars cheaper on other websites. If you are going to buy this set and want to save money (like 10 or 15 $ or something) buy it off of another website
