My 8 year old daughter got this for her birthday and loves using it to create her own dolls. I don't really know why other reviewers are having such a hard time with it----just follow the directions and go SLOWLY. Comes out perfect every time except maybe a little corner or 2 that has to be gently patted down with the "special" monster high sponge which is my daughter's favorite part of the process anyway. The tattoos stick really well, which I think is a good thing. You do have to scrub them off with a soapy towel a little bit to remove but it's no big deal. The whole set up is so pretty and it comes with lots of tattoos. I would have loved this when I was a kid!

This toy looks so cool and seems like it would be great fun and it is BUT it has an unforgivable flaw. My husband and I both have tried to help our daughter with this toy in every way I can think of but no matter what you do the faces are never on straight ( or any other tattoo for that matter). Every time you try to apply a tattoo with the machine something turns out lopsided. We even cut the pieces out and applied by hand and it still looked like junk.My daughter was so excited and stayed positive throughout try after try because she loved the doll and the cool tattoos but I just don't see a way to make this thing do was it is supposed to so she finally said she wants to return it.
It's a cool idea but flawed, I really can't believe they put this into production without making this a better product. We love monster high but this just s( btw her face has no lips so the mouth will never look like the other dolls, and after reviewing the toy fair photos THEIR doll looks as bad as the ones we made) at least you can scrub them off and start over but then again it just makes it easy to crack, chip, or rub off with your finger when you get it " as good as it gets"

      best toy ever love making monsters its great with the add on packs if you don't like the outfit change it out with your other dolls outfits for even more fun. you can buy different parts on Ebay for a recommened price BEST TOY EVER BUY!!!IT'S GREAT FOR CREATIVE KIDS!!!

        This was a must have for my 6 year old for X-mas.
        Reviews I read warned against this due to not being able to get the applications on straight. I bought it anyway.
        My 6 year old is completely satisfied!
        I have to help her with it a little, but I'm sure she will get better and no longer need help. The concept of use is pretty easy. When using the water to wet the sponge, it helps if you put the sponge face down before squeezing the water into it (otherwise it takes forever to wet and the water sort of leaks into the lid). The stickers do go on sort of crooked, but my daughter didn't even notice. This entertained her for quite awhile. The quality could be a bit better, but it's not flimsy or anything.

                  Purchased this from TRU for Christmas. Opened it up and the only tattoos were the face ones located in the window of the box with the doll. Missing the other 100. Badly disappointed.

                  My 9 yr old daughter and I had a blast with this. She got it for christmas. I noticed right away that the face tattoos have a nose cut out/slit. If you lay that on the head with the nose sticking through the paper, the face comes out perfect every time. I do wish it had come with more body parts. The add on packs dont have upper arms or upper legs. You have to use the ones from the design lab over and over.

                            Bought it for my 4 yr old. She loves it and keeps her very entertained. The only issues with it is it seems to leak, I always put a towel under it and it is a little hard for her to push down all the way but older kids shouldn't have a problem with it. With all the extras out there for it the creativity is endless.

                              My monster loves this toy and she is a HUGE Monster High fan!! SO So so Easy to make a monster. Make sure that you have the face and body aligned.
                              My daughter is 9 and has no problem with it, she loves it.
                              We got it for her as a gift for winning her Volleyball tournament.
                              She has already changed the look many times. Need more add on packs!!
