To celebrate the release of Disney's Cinderella: Diamond Edition DVD, Mattel has partnered with Disney to release a line of Disney Princess Cinderella dolls and play sets. The Transforming Pumpkin Carriage offers your child's Cinderella doll (sold separately) an elegant way to arrive at the ball. The carriage features a translucent blue frame with pearlescent, monogramed silver doors. The carriage is topped with a pink-fabric accent that tugs out to reveal the carriage's pumpkin cover.

Transform a Pumpkin into a Beautiful Royal Carriage

To change the pumpkin into the carriage, lift the vines to pop up the carriage wheels and then pull the cord to reveal the elegant carriage underneath. Attach the carriage's cord to the horse's reins, and Cinderella is ready to go to the ball. Our tester found initial assembly (from box to playtime) took approximately 15 minutes. The carriage wheels turned smoothly, and the plastic was high quality. The carriage fits 12-inch fashion dolls.

It is difficult for the strings to stay attached to the horse. The wheels keep turning down as if it is turning into the pumpkin. I feel like I paid a lot of money for a toy that isn't well made. My daughter LOVES Cinderella, however she gets frustrated playing with this toy.

Really cute toy. I had a couple of issues though. As a Christmas toy from "Santa" for my daughter, I removed it from the box to place it in a "Santa Sack" and was testing out the retractable pumpkin covering. For some reason it was stuck, so I gave it a big tug and the string detached from the cloth. I found out that during assembly, the string was caught between the two plastic pieces of the carriage, and that's why it wouldn't budge. The metal clasp holding the string to the fabric went flying, and I just ended up sewing the string to it instead. Seems to hold well now. My other issue is the doors to the carriage sort of hang down when opened, and my daughter gets frustrated when she can't get the doors to latch shut. You have to lift the doors to get them to close completely. Other than that, she likes it. Cinderella doll fits inside as well.

My daughter loves Cinderella and the horse but for the money we spent this is a terribly made product. The reins as others mention do not stay attached making my daughter frustrated and needing me to keep helping her to reattach. I am going to try to return this if my daughter is okay with it!

Fun toy to play pretend! Good size for dolls similar to Barbie size. Pumpkin works good. Only problem is the plastic pieces disconnect from the horse constantly and interrupts playtime.

Great gift for my granddaughter. She is all about make believe, and the pumpkin conversion made is so perfect for her. Additionally, the dolls could actually travel in the carriage. Good outfit in total, to include the horse.

My 5 year-old daughter is a huge Cinderella fan and was very excited to get this on Christmas morning. So far it has held up fairly well. The wheels are a little tricky and fold in a little too easily and the rings that attach the horse to the carriage seem to fall off often, but are easily placed back on. Since she is such a huge Cinderella fan, it was definitely worth the purchase.
