Product Description
Protect your child all around the home with the Protect Easy Install Safety Gate by Munchkin.  The wider wood frame increases strength and stability and features a sleek design with black hexagon mesh. The quick release lever mechanism remembers the doorway width and can easily be adjusted.  The tighter 1/4" increment adjustments enable a safer, more customized fit.  Oversized rubber mounts increase surface area for greater traction and the non-marking bumpers keep walls and doors scuff-free.  Installation is quick and easy.  To remove, just lift locking arm up to unlocked position and remove gate from opening.   Ideal for little ones 6-24 months.  Not for use at top of stairs.  Pressure mounted, fits openings 26"-42" wide, 26" tall.

I was looking for something like this for along time to use around the house to keep my curious dog out of certain rooms in the house and out of trouble! This is perfect, easy to hook up, no assembly needed. I used the pressure mound feature. It is much better than the old one I had for my kids.

I needed an extra gate to keep my toddler out of the kitchen when - and only when - I was cooking. The area wasn't suitable for a gate with a door but this one works very well. It's a cinch to put up and take down and I can easily hide it behind a nearby door for when I don't need it. Wonderful design and makes my life so much easier!

We live in a small apartment - I needed something to put outside the bathroom door (the baby loves watching Dada shave, so while I don't want to shut her out completely, she really needs to not be crawling on the bathroom floor...opening drawers...playing with the toilet..etc). Since we rent, I didn't want to do anything "hardware mounted". I also wanted to be able to change the location of the gate (perhaps blocking off the entire hallway to the bathroom/bedrooms).

This product is almost perfect.
* It's very easy to move from spot to spot.
* It feels very secure once it's put up.
* The close notches make small adjustments possible and easy.
* My daughter is 11 months old and while she hasn't tried to pull herself up using this gate (yet!), I'm fairly confident it will be able to stand up to her.
* I didn't figure in the moulding on the base of the walls - the gate seems to accommodate it anyway...

"Flaws":
* The mesh park of the gate appears flimsy - we haven't had any problems, nor do I anticipate any - but I feel this fact should be stated.
* The smallest setting is 26" - our doorways are 23". I didn't take points off for the fact that I measured the doorway and then forgot the width (mommy brain!), but I do take into consideration that if all my doorways are 23", perhaps that's a standard width?? I found ways to work around it, so no harm, no foul - but all potential buyers should take note to measure the spaces they intend to use the gate in AND remember the measurements :)
