It was great for our first child. But then again I do not remember needing it long. She slept with us until 3 months. She went into her crib and was sleeping through the night for 12 hours. Our son was a sick baby and we were very dependent on this monitor. Thought it was great until him. Found the monitor difficult to position. Range was not what supposed to be. After 6 months it would not reach to the other side of the house. Battery life was great in the beginning. But again with the second child it was only okay.

My Mom got me this, because she wanted me to have peace at night. We just moved into a larger house and for the first time, my daughter had her own room. It worked great for the first few months, but like every other comment on here, gave out less than a year old. We bought this at full price and its really a shame that there were bad reviews on all systems out there. I bought my friend one over 10 years ago for her shower and she STILL uses it. I guess just keep in mind like everything else, you will have to replace it. Shame it dosent even make it a year!

I was given this monitor for my baby shower and have had nothing but problems with it since we started using it for my son. The monitor is always going out of range where we can't see or hear my son on the monitor and to "alarm" you that this is happening it has a very low beep that will not wake you up so you will have no idea your monitor is not working properly. I have tried synching it and troubleshooting it, replacing the battery I have tried everything... Last night I woke up to go to the bathroom in the night and found my son in his crib crying hysterically. It looked like he had been crying for atleast an hour and I HAD NO IDEA!!!!! the monitor had gone out of range... despite hte fact that it was plugged in and all was okay when I went to bed. I called the company and they told me it was out of warranty. Talked to a manager who said they will send me a replacement but it will take up to two weeks... at which point I am on my own to go buy a cheap monitor to hold me over until the new one gets here or as the kind manager told me "go without" until the new one arrives... because that is so safe to not have a monitor on your child during the night. I am disgusted with the company, the customer service and the product. DO NOT BUY THIS MONITOR!!!!

I've had this monitor for three months and the battery is already shot. It's died on me twice during the night when it had a half full battery, died after 3 hours. The video and sound are good, but the battery life is terrible. Look for something different.

We bought this 8 months ago and have only gotten about 3 months use out of it before it stopped working. It says out if range on the receiver screen even if it is in the same room as the camera. Luckily I purchased the babies r us protection plan for 35 dollars. If all goes as planned I'll be reimbursed within the next 2 weeks. Kind of annoying to be out of a monitor for so long. Consumer reports on this monitor are wrong.

Love it, Used it for 19 months and now dropped it water so buying a replacement. Excellent product.

It worked good for about a year. Then we had a few minor issues with it freezing up every now and then. After 16 months it completely stopper working. We hoped it was the battery issue. Called their customer service and after a minute of explaining what was happening I was told that the monitor needed to be replaced. Apparently, this is a common issue that they are aware of but only hold up a one year warranty. They offered a replacement set (they could only offer the pink model) for $109 plus shipping. I said no thanks and will be buying a different brand today.

I have owned this product for almost 2 years and I have loved it from the 1st day I have brought my son home. I have never had any problems with the camera or the monitor. In fact, my son got a hold of the camera and broke the screen. I went and purchased another set so now I have 2 cameras and I love it. Especially now that he is older, I can get more views of him.

This product has given me the peace and mind that I needed. I lost a child to SIDS and when I found out that I pregnant with my last child the hardest part was letting him sleep in his crib. Without this I don't know what I would have done. The sound is great. It picks up the smallest noise and the camera is fantastic. I would recommend this to anyone as a great buy.

Worked well when it worked. Just like previous comments, worked great and then stopped working after 5 months. Completely froze, then would not take a charge or power up.

I got this monitor because a friend of mine had one. It was a little hard to use in the beginning, but I eventually figured it out. I love the talk back feature and the zoom in option. It's nice to be able to hook up more than one camera for different rooms if needed. I wish the camera had a battery option. I like that I can see my son to see if he needs me without having to go into his room and disturbing his slumber. Great peace of mind and I go right back to sleep.
