            We bought this already assembled, from reading previous reviews it was worth the ten dollars. This is a very cool bike to learn on, my son just turned five, and it was the only bike I found with hand brakes in this size. The only con so far is that it's a little heavy, but this is his first bike so he will need to build his leg muscles to ride any of them. At the store he tried all of the 14" bikes, but when he got on this one he said, "Can we get it now, Mommy?" after only riding the length of one aisle.

              Took 30 mins to assemble on Christmas eve after a few glasses of wine and while chatting with family. You need a wrench and an Allen wrench.
              My son's been on it for 2 weeks and loves it. OK, the handbrakes aren't racing quality, but it is fine for what it is. No problems whatsoever.

                          Poor quality control

                          Our 3 1/2 year-old loved this bike at the store. So did another 4 year-old (we didn't know them) who was trying out bikes at the same time. Sadly, when we got home we were unable to assemble it because one of the screws (or the hole?) on the handlebars was machined incorrectly and the screw would not budge to loosen/tighten it. Attaching the handlebars to the frame required loosening this screw, unfolding the handlebars, and re-tightening this screw (along with 3 others, which all turned fine) so we couldn't get any further. Returned to the store. Next time, we will have the store deal with any such problems by letting them assemble. Just a bummer to have to wait a couple of days for this, since we wanted to use it this weekend. We will try this model again - and will update our review.

                            Too many corners cut when outsourced over seas, plastic chain guard broke within the first ten minutes of play.The rear wheel just doesn't seem
                            right, it feels really stiff and not free wheeling. Not impressed.
