Knowing way too many children with or affected by Cancer I was thrilled to see a FB post about the line of Bratz Dolls to Benefit Center of Hope. I placed a call to my local Toy's R Us to make sure they had them in stock. They had a few, and though I could have bought more I didn't want to clean them out in case someone else needed them. I loved that there was a boy doll, for the little 4 y.o. in our church that is battling luekemia. I love that the dolls seem to have more realistic body images. The outfits are also modest, which we need more of especially for girl dolls and that's for kids without cancer as well. I've seen the internet requests that have prompted Mattel to come out with a Barbie with cancer -- I'm glad they missed the boat on that. I like the Bratz dolls much better. It seems that other sites are doubling the price or more I paid for these, under 15.00 at the store; I find that very sad as I doubt that the difference is going toward Centers for Hope and the families of the children I gave them to are all struggling with the added expenses of dealing with cancer. Please don't turn this into a Cabbage Patch Doll frenzy. How do people sleep at night?
