Difficult to put pieces together

The doll needs to be connected to the stage via a "key" on the stand on the back of the stage. The key has a rubbery piece that, once inserted in the back of the doll, makes it so the doll doesn't fall off of the key. That rubbery piece is too thick and makes it extremely difficult to push the key into the doll's back. The doll will sing and talk when it's not attached to the stage via the key, but the ponytails won't spin, and the arms and legs won't move. If a child can't put the pieces together herself (or an adult, for that matter), then what's the point?
We were able to put the key in the doll once and it was darling. I called the doll's customer service line and they told me to exchange the doll for a new one. I hope the next doll doesn't have the same defect.

Wow. I did not realize how big this doll was! My granddaughter was thrilled when she opened the package. It works well, and has a lot of ways to play with it. The only con is that the head is SO heavy because it has all the workings for the hair spinning, etc. It makes it awkward to carry or sit in a chair.

We love this doll! Her singing is adorable and my kids love to follow along with her dancing. I love the encouaragment for the kids to interact with her. Two of the curly hair pieces broke within minutes of coming out of the box, but we were able to glue them and they work just fine. The doll is a little heavier than most, because of the mechanisms inside of her, so it makes it a little more uncomfortable to cuddle with her, but she is great entertainment and we really do love her.

MY (JUST TURNED) 4 Y/O DAUGHTER ABSOLUTELY LOVES THIS DOLL. IT IS SEW CUTE!! My 3 year old loves it! She got it for Christmas and has played with it everyday. She isn't the most gentle with it and it has held up fine. No broken pieces or problems. Wish there were more interactive lalaloopsies like this!
