This toy was definitely the holiday hit at my house. I was lucky enough to get it on sale and I thought it was definitely worth the price. It took a while for my 9 year old to master but once she got it down, she was so thrilled! The batteries do wear out quickly, but the charge lasts long enough to get a decent play session in anyway. It definitely can take a beating. My daughter crashed it repeatedly while she was getting the hang of operating it but it didn't fall apart. For the money, it's great. Are there other better remote control vehicle options out there? Of course. But they're also going to cost a whole lot more money. If your kid is a beginning remote control enthusiast this product will not let you down. Challenging but still loads of fun.

rotor blade broke after 24 hours of play. No replacement parts. Have yet to find an air hog product that actually works as described or lasts.

Cool looking toy and a great concept, but horrible execution. I have experience flying other remote helicopters and this thing is the worst. Granted it's possibly just one defective unit.

Would not consistently takeoff or hop, zero steering control in the air, zero descent control, wildly unresponsive.

At first, seems like a great idea and lots of fun.
I purchased one for each of my boys ages 8 & 10. Each broke within the first two days.

This produce broke on its second flight. We previously bought a different flying Air Hog product and that one also broke within minutes of taking it out of the box. It is extremely frustrating! My child was gentle with the product and could not have done anything differently. We urge parents to know that these products are very fragile and do not last. Do not waste your money!

Once he got the hang of flying it (through trial and error which we encourage) my 10 year old son loves this! He loved flying it to land and take off of your hand or counter for mid-flight maneuvering. He says it is the best present he has ever received.

We got it so he could have some toys on hand he could actually have fun with and play by himself to encourage solo play and problem-solving.

Got this for my 6 year old and it's been great for him. He caught on very quickly with how to control it and can make it hover, shoot, drive. Landings are still rough, and it often just drops out of the air, but it is built to handle that. We've had it about a month with no problems. It's fun for kids and adults and is much more sturdy and much less frustrating than the R/C helicopter we own. Only downside is that the charge life is not long -- seems like maybe 10 minutes of heavy use and it needs charged again. Otherwise, I've been very pleasantly surprised.

9 y/o grandson purchased this item with his birthday money. Worked the first time charged. Unable to charge this item again since then. Will return to the store. This the 2nd (and last) Air Hogs product purchased that did not last a week. Very disappointed in Air Hog products. Will never waste money on an Air Hogs product again. :(
