Biggest and most fun playset I own!

This playset is huge, you really have to see it put together in person to get a feel for just how big it really is.

There are only two things I dislike about the playset, and they are the reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. First is the instructions are incorrect, there are a lot of pieces and it would have made it much easier to put together if the instructions were right. I also recieved 2 of the same piece and was missing one I needed. I contacted Playmates and they quickly sent me the piece I needed. Secondly the clips that hold the cardboard pieces in the back do fall off easily when the playset is moved, and as big as it is I have to move it from time to time as it takes up a lot of floor space.

The positives are this is the biggest and best playset I have seen for toys. You can fit lots of TMNT toys all over the playset and still have room to play with them. The zip line is a lot of fun, as is the tire swing, and Shredder practice dummy. There seems to be a feature for each turtle and even Splinter in the playset, it provides hours of fun for the TMNT toys. The price point is high but the playset is worth every penny. If they get the instructions updated this will be a 5 stars out of 5 playset.

We bought this as the BIG Christmas gift for our 5 year old son. After reading some of the other reviews, we decided to put it together and "test" it out with some of the basic turtles our son already has and play with it as our 5 year old would. What we found is that while this may entertain him for a while, it wouldn't last long enough quality-wise for us to justify spending over $100 for it.

The pros - there is a variety of different play spots as it is a very large playset. Initially, I think my son would be excited to try out the different features. My husband also says that the gun shoots well (as it shot across the room and hit me)!

The cons - The instructions/labels are wrong. Some sticker numbers and where they should be placed are inaccurate. Same with a few labeled pieces going in spots other than where the directions specify. This will take extra set-up time.

The dummy isn't weighted properly and one hi-yah just knocks the whole stand over.

Some pieces do not line up accurately. We constantly had to pop one particular piece in multiple times. This then tends to cause a domino effect of other pieces popping out.

Doors don't slide well.

The plastic is thin. As stated in another review, it definitely isn't Imaginext quality, but it isn't the worst out there. I do worry that during play, he would accidentally break some of the thinner pieces.

The cardboard is super flimsy and the clips that hold it on are a joke. I gingerly picked up the set to move it over and 3 clips snapped off and flung away from the set.

Conclusion: We will return it and go with something else as the BIG gift. In my opinion, this is a $40-$50 quality of toy. Super bummed as I know how much he loves turtles, but on our budget, we like to make sure we are getting our moneys worth.

After my son kept asking over & over for a "ninja turtle house", we surprised him with this on his last day of school for doing good in his 1st year of school.. While I was wasting my time putting this together I quickly saw how cheap & flimsy this thing was.. Poor little guy cant do nothing without the pieces falling off.. Needless to say, I'll be taking this back to the store.. Now I just gotta figure out a way to explain to him why he cant keep it.

The look of this online and in the box is awesome but the actual toy I feel is not high quality, easy to fall apart and not much fun. I was surprised how little my 5 year old played with it and I think it is because it would break so easy when he put any turtle weight on any level or the tire etc. For the cost it was one of the most disappointing purchases so far.

I ordered this play set for my 7 year old grandson who saw a picture of it and wanted it. His mom spent an hour putting it together; she said it was not difficult BUT there is a piece missing. I had seen a warning on others' reviews that this might happen. I hope the manufacturer will send the missing piece to my grandson upon request. What's good about this? My grandson and his 4 year old sister played WITHOUT ARGUMENT FOR 60 MINUTES WITH THIS! Wonderful for their imaginations!

Pros:it's really big. My son loves it and plays with it daily. it's lightweight so it can be moved.

Cons: waaay overpriced, buy it with a coupon or on sale for sure! very flimsy-something falls off if it everyday and i have to put it back on and that's just from normal play.

It took 3 hours to put toghter and put all the stickers in their place. It came the day right before my sons birthday which was good. Its not that sturdy and for the turtle fly line you need to connect the line to your furniture! Good present but takes to long to put toghter
