My son just got this for his 5th birthday. Its pretty cool and he loves it! The wheel light up and it has several phrases and noises. The controls seem pretty easy to use also because my almost 3yr old can kind of work it. We haven't had it very long but I think it will hold up pretty well, no worse than any other remote control. He likes it because he can incorporate this toy with his Imaginext Batman toys etc.

Bought and have played with the toy for last 1 month. Son is 3+ years old and simply loves the toy. The getup and look is just classy. Works great on carpet.
Highly recommended.

This was an excellent toy that I purchased today while looking around for Batman action figures. While I did not see any figures that were a must have, I stumbled upon this toy and instantly had to get it. The wheels have flashing red/blue lights, a remote with pre-programmed commands and the ability to create your own. You may also use the remote control to manually drive the Batpod as well of course. It also has Batman talking and Batpod sound fx. It is definetely an indoor toy. This toy uses an infrared remote so you can't let the signal get blocked by any obstacles in the way or it won't work, but is otherwise very fast on smooth floors. It can run on the carpet (the less shaggy the better) but not as fast of course and the turning is a little stiffer in that instance. I would recommend showing your younger children how to use it before handing it over. I have crashed mine a few times while getting used to the controls at first but it is certainly a well built and flashy toy. I would suggest getting extra batteries as the Batpod uses 4 and the Remote uses 3. The only thing that could have made this toy even better is if the back wheel was also powered by a motor...with that said, the front wheel does all the work in turning and propeling the vehicle (and does an astonishingly great job at it too) while two mini plastic wheels assist in smooth turning/spinning. This is an excellent toy for any fan of Batman!
