Since Grandma has the smaller one that keeps them entertained for several hours we decided on the bigger house that also came with 6 bonus rooms. putting it together took like five minutes and I haven't seen three out of four kids in about two hours. The rooms are a bit small so not everything ended up in a room like they wanted but they moved on and figured out away to make it all work. Not to sure how long the secret room or the free standing floor are going to hold up but it is what it is at this point

This is a beautiful toy. It is well made and just darling. My only issue with this dollhouse is that the rooms are TOO SMALL FOR THE FURNITURE! We bought this for my daughter along with several rooms of furniture. The rooms are so small that one set of furniture doesn't fit in any of the rooms!
So she ends up playing with it all over the floor and can barely fit any of the HUGE bulky furniture in the tiny rooms.
I think the regular Grand Dollhouse may have a more open floor plan allowing for more furniture to fit. But the Dream house is chopped up into too small of rooms.
Really disappointed.
I would still recommend it, but buy very few furniture pieces!

    We got this for my daughter's second birthday. She had graduated from the "Little People" playhouse. This house is easy to put together, provides for tons of imaginative play, and will likely be in our toy collection for many years. The "bells and whistles" are simple (one light comes on, toilet flushes, doorbell rings) which means that (hopefully) things won't break quickly. We have added room sets (priced between $10 and $15 each) and people to the doll house family for extra play fun.

        On Christmas morning I gave this to my 5 year old Granddaughter and she was excited. Unfortunately when we opened it the plastic was broken in many places on the house. We returned it with no problem and got a totally different doll house since all the boxes with the one we had previously purchased looked like they had been dropped from a helicopter!

          We initially purchased this doll house for our 3 year old for Christmas. We also purchased some of the furniture for the rooms. The doll house only comes with a couple of pieces of furniture and family figures. ( not enough for a child to really play with the doll house) The rest of the furniture is sold separately. That really added up $$$$. We ended up finding a different doll house that was much larger, made of wood, and that came with furniture for each room for the same $$$ ( maybe even less $$$). So we returned the Fisher Price doll house and furniture. I just think that for the $$$ , the are other choices that are just as nice or nicer.

I almost bought her the princess castel for Barbie sized dolls but decided to go with this one because of all the other furniture it offered and because it was bigger.
