Great size for a newborn, but don't buy too many. My son is 5 weeks old and is already drinking more than the 4oz these bottles hold. I will save them though for when he starts drinking juice. No colic, excessive gas or spitting up. A little bit is normal of course. After using my bottle warmer that warms by steam, there is hot condensation that is between the bottle and the white plastic piece that holds the nipple. I just run it under cold water and tip it to the side for a second so he doesn't get burned. I think this would happen with any brand. As for the nipples, the ones that come with this size (newborn) are perfect when they are very small. They have a 1 on the nipple. The larger bottles come with slow flow, with a 2 on the nipple which is too fast for a baby that may be drinking more than the 4oz this bottle holds. For example, my son is 5 weeks, drinking 5oz, but I had to take the newborn nipples off this bottle because the nipples that come with the next bottle size up are still too fast for him. Initially started with a different bottle but it didnt work for us was way to fast and a pain. Aven had sent us one of these as a sample so I tried it and was amazed I had used the old Avent bottle with my first daughter and like those they had leaked a littl bit but liked them anyway. These are great no leaking slow flow. We didnt want a bottl with a ton of parts so we are very happy that there are no extra parts to this bottle. Defintately worth the money.

I'm nursing my baby and was nervous about introducing a bottle before 4 weeks because of nipple confusion, but my baby was able to latch right on and eat from this bottle the first try. She's also never had any issues going back and forth between breast and bottle. The only reason why I didn't give this bottle a 5 is because the newborn flow is still quite fast and has taken my baby a couple weeks to get used to. A lot of milk still ends up on her instead of in her tummy. While I think these bottles are a little too expensive, which is keeping me from purchasing more than 6, I'm pleased with how well they work.

These bottles have worked great for our newborn, but the clear, plastic lids that go over the nipples don't fit securly like the regular Avent bottles we have. When shaking the bottle to mix formula, the mixture tended to leak out of the lid as the nipple wasn't snug up against it. We also had the lid come of in the diaper bag + leak liquid. The regular Avent bottles work better for travel and mixing.

Heres my cup of tea, these bottles are great! They just did not work for us! They do not leak and I love how little they are, but however for my baby the nipple was very wide and the flow is too fast! And this was the nipple that came with the bottle, which said it was a "newborn" nipple. She would have a lot of milk dripping everywhere, and every feeding she would be soaked every single time! That was super annoying as I would have to change her clothes a lot or use a terry burp cloth and chuck it under her chin (which would also be soaked). I also didn't think she was getting a lot of the milk because of how much would leak! So we switched to Dr.B's and I must say, things have been AWESOME!

These bottles are great. Fantastic quality and definitely worth the price. I've purchased two boxes in the store and I've tried to purchase two more online. Although my experience with buying online from Babies R Us has been a complete disaster, I have nothing negative to say about the bottles themselves.

Just got these for my 1 month old who has been 100% breast fed, he took the bottle with no problem, I had already tried a couple of other brands and either got leaks or too many parts to clean, this bottle is easy to wash and is also cute, does the job 100%, great for breast fed babies.
