We own the previous version but after seeing commercials of this new one, we opted for it thinking it would be bigger and our daughter would have more room for her stuff. WRONG!

This new house is not bigger - in fact, it has less usuable space. It is nice that the rooms are separated but they are way too small. In the previous version, we had tons of furniture and everything fit in the rooms - in this new house, we can only fit about 2/3 of what we had and things don't fit right.

For example, on the middle level, there's a bedroom on each side of the built in bathroom. If you buy a parent bedroom set, it comes with a bed, a chest and a coat rack w/ robe and hat. Those rooms only have room for the bed and the chest and when you put both of those in, there is no room for anyone to walk in the room. It looks ridiculous.

The top rooms are a joke. Because of the arches in the roof of the rooms, you can only fit select pieces in them. We've found about the only thing that fits is the baby beds and you can't put two in one room - only one.

The sides that fold out - on the old one, when you folded out those sides, they folded down and it created 4 more rooms. In this new one, there's not rooms on the right because of the staircase so right there, you lose 2 rooms. On the left side, there's a floor for the upper room but not for the bottom so it doesn't have the feel or appearance of a room. The upper floor doesn't have any support under it so it seems it may break off easily.

The "hidden/bonus" room is also a joke. While the size of it is nice compared to the angled rooms beside it, it's tricky to get it up and down and is something that really needs parental help - especially with the younger kids. It seems very cheap and I believe it will break easily and if it does, that room is not functional. The room above it has the same awkward arched roof making it just about worthless.

All in all, as a mom, I am very disappointed with this newer version. It does not hold the furniture like the previous one and the functionality is not as good. My daughter loves the fact that it lights up and plays music. That alone makes her like this one better, however, I think we will get rid of it and keep the old one. If the old one had lights and sounds, there's no doubt she'd choose it over the new one! It's frustrating because we were both so excited about this new one only to be very frustrated that it's worse, not better!

I got this for my 8 year old daughters birthday. She loved it the first minute she saw it on the "Loving Family" home page. She also shares it with her 4 year old sister. They play with it for hours. I highly recommend this toy. The features on this house are very cute.

I researched a lot of dollhouses before deciding on this set for my 3 year old daughter including wooden versions. I decided on Loving Family for the realistic design and detail and my daughter LOVES it! There is so much going on, especially since we purchased additional furniture sets and the grandpa an grandpa figures. She likes to her mommy, daddy and grandparents to play with her using their corresponding figures. So cute! :)

Product is great! So awesome that is comes with multiple furniture sets so you don't have to buy more. My 4 year old daughter loves playing with it. Easy to put together.

The rooms are toni, too tiny to fit furniture. Frustration as the neds barley fit into the rooms and my daughter is very upset by the fact that after arranging furniture to somehwat fit she has no room for her dolls to "play". Last version of dollhouse was a much better product. Not impressed. The Mega Set does not have enough decor to go along with the house.

My 4 year old has the Loving Family Dollhouse which she loves, so this purchase was supposed to be huge. The rooms are tiny, too tiny to put the furniture in and have pretend play. After assembly, my daughter was so diappointed that the rooms were too small, I feel bad as this was her big gift. I feel like Fisher-Price made the rooms smaller to make the house biger, then raising the price. Its not an improved dollhouse, it's actually not as nice as last years version. We will keep it and use both houses, the price is not worth it.

I have no idea how good the dollhouse is because we have to return it now that Toys R Us apparently ships toys out at Christmas time without discreet packaging. We were walking home from school to find the toy in all its glory just sitting on our front porch for the whole world to see (including the intended recipient). Kind of hard to explain to the little one why Santa would of mailed it to the house. Geez, Toys R Us, a little bit of brown paper or plastic wrap or something would have been nice! Back to the drawing board I guess. Can't wait to see how the Ninjago set I ordered arrives!
