We bought this crib for our 1-year-old daughter. I did a lot of research beforehand, and we chose this one because it is beautiful and had very good reviews.

The crib is beautiful, fairly easy to put together, and definitely is sturdy. However, there are two major downsides to it that would prevent me from recommending it:

1) Before your baby becomes old enough to stand in the crib, you must get covers for the fronts and sides, because the surface of the crib (it's not real wood) chips off very, very easily. We put our daughter in it for one night. The next morning when she woke up and I went to get her out of the crib, I noticed a spot on the top of the front rail. I thought it was some slight damage that I hadn't originally noticed, but it was actually from her teething on it! She only had 3 teeth at the time, and she isn't a big chewer. But once she got a little scratch in it, the surface immediately started to chip off. I was able to easily chip off more of it with my fingernail. Unfortunately, putting the rail covers on it ruins the look of the crib.

2) Even though the crib is advertised as having a matching guard rail available, it's not. We tried to order the guard rail when we ordered the crib and were told that it was on "back order" and that the store couldn't order it for us until it came off of back order. They told us to periodically check back. Well, it's been 2 months, it hasn't come off of "back order", and now we're being told that the guard rail has been discontinued and is no longer available. We would have purchased another crib if we had known this was the case. I realize you can get a generic guard rail, but part of the reason we purchased this crib is that we wanted the matching guard rail.

Overall, a beautiful crib, but it comes with major detractions that make me wish we hadn't purchased it. And I don't understand why BRU is still selling a crib when critical components like the guard rail are no longer available. Very disappointing.

Haven't had the baby yet, so we have gotten little use out of the crib, to date, but it is a classy design that was easy to assemble. One gripe I have is that there are three bolt holes on each side of the back (highest) portion of the crib, that attach the side railings. Eventually, converting to the bed if parents choose to do so when their child gets older, will result in the top bolt hole being visible on each side. Much less classy... The hardware kit came with what I believe to be plugs to use when the time for conversion comes years down the road, but my set did not come with assembly instructions, so I can't be sure. If they were what I think they were, they are not a natural looking plug, as they are metal, and the frame is obviously wood. I think this design could easily be fixed with a different material to plug the holes with when the time come. The only thing left is for a parent to remember where he/she put the additional hardware 4-8 years after first assembling the crib!

The crib was easy to assemble and requires an allen wrench (which is included). Not many parts required for assembly and the instructions were clear. Very sturdy as it's been moved several times since assembly to accomodate other items in the room. I was 8 months pregnant and used a rolling office chair to "help" assemble the crib and it didn't take us much time at all. Enjoy!

I had to have the perfect baby bed for our king, and this is it! My sister selected a more expensive bed, but my husband and I were stuck on this one, so she purchased it as a shower gift. The dark wood is beautiful. It's solid and very sturdy! I really like the sleigh headboard because it will transition perfectly into an older child's room! Easy assembly! It only took about 20-30 minutes, without directions, because we didn't see them in the beginning. FYI - they're inside of the warning label package. Yes, you need a van or pickup truck, because an SUV will not work... at all. Love it!

This crib was a great purchase. It was super easy to put together with simple three step instructions, and ten screws. We bought two for our twin girls due in May. They have an elegant look with a reasonable price tag.
As mentioned before, it took more time to find the instructions than it did to put the crib together. The instructions are tucked inside the warning label on the metal support springs.

This is a beautiful crib that fits in perfectly with our modern detailing. My husband keeps remarking how strong, sturdy and nice looking it is. With cribs ranging from a couple hundred to a couple thousand dollars, this crib rivals with the most expensive of them.
We didn't find the instructions until the very end, but it was a very simple assembly and didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out. There was an included package that said Assembly Instruction & Parts included, but only the parts were inside. We found the instructions under the wire frame. As mentioned before, would not have thought to look there. We just went over the instructions post assembly to make sure we got it right -- and we did.
