I actually returned two of these bikes due to issues. After assembling the first time, I realized my daughter could not pedal the bike well. The pedals had way too much resistance. I adjusted but it still never turned smoothly. Also, both rims/tires were noticably warped and wobbled when they turned. I returned to the store thinking it was just a one off problem, but after assembling the second bike it had all the exact same issues. I'm not sure if it was do to how the boxes were handled at the store or what, but the bike definately not worth the money paid.

Not to my expectations: Bought this for my granddaughter for Schwinn reputation, size (she's tall for her age), and design. However, bike is very lightweight-tips over even on a slow turn, design is cute by decoration but pedals are too small for her feet (with shoes on), piece that handlebar is attached to is too short, therefore it nearly touches her knees while pedaling.

My 5 year old daughter had outgrown her old bike so we went browsing in store and this was the winner! I like it because it is sturdy and with the double hand breaks and foot breaks, it is easy for her to use, as the breaking part is always tough for her. I like the design because it is girly but not over the top girly, so 2 years from now it won't be a character she has outgrown or a bike she is tired of. And size wise it is perfect. other 16 inch bikes seemed smaller than this one a wee bit, bug the 18 inch ones were still big for her. So this was a good fit. Price wise, it was more than many of the others but I had coupons! We have only used it a few times but so far so good...

This is a good bike, however, was not offered in store, nor did the website offer ship to store option available. When the bike came UPS, the guy asked me to open it to make sure it was not broken. The box was beat up and had holes in it. Upon a quick once over, it appeared ok, despite lack of packaging materials in the box. I decided to accept it since my daughters birthday was that coming weekend. After un packing, the front reflector was broken, and none of the protection packaging was in place. After assembly, I have noticed the rear tire is warped a bit, and will eventually need repair. We wanted a good quality bike for our daughter to grow into, and the hoops we had to jump through to find quality at a reasonable cost was rediculous. In store it's either low cost cheap cutesy children bikes or high end bikes, nothing in between.
