Bought this art set because it offered so much and so many different things. I loved the idea of the wooden case to keep all the pieces inside. I thought it would be a fantastic product. I was very wrong. The crayons are colored wax and you have to use half the crayon in order to color about 3 inches of coloring book page and that is if the crayon doesn't just break in the process as many did. The crayons also do not have color names printed on them. Such a bummer.

The colored pencils are very small and also take some effort to actually get them to work.
The markers are pretty good and the oil pastels.

The paints do not come out of the case so it forces you to use them inside the case which makes a big mess.

So the best thing about this set is the case for the most part except that the plastic inserts on either side do not stay in and fall out every time you open it. The first time we opened it the glue had come off the inside and the insert had fallen out.

We were so excited to get this set home and use it. What a big bummer it turned out to be! Don't waste your money, time or patience on this item. Spend a little more and buy a crayola set.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
