We purchased this for our 2 and a half year old a little after his 1st Birthday. We love that it reclines and is a perfect fit for our Bucket Seats in our Lincoln Navigator. I don't understand others saying its hard to install because I have no problem taking it out of the Lincoln and putting it in our Ford Explorer Sports Tracy without my Husbands help. As far as the padding it's feels good to me and he has never complained. We have taken trips to North Carolina and VA Beach without issues on comfort. He sleeps in it just fine. People are just nit pickers. I highly recommend this if you just need a carseat that doesn't break your wallet and still does a great job.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The headrest is bulky and in the way. It propped my 5 year old son's head forward and looked like it would be uncomfortable on long drives. We are taking it back to the store.

Purchased this because it was rated well. After receiving, we found the materials to be flimsy compared to our other car seat (Britax) and it was very difficult, if not nearly impossible, to secure it in our car. We tried both install methods to secure it (LATCH and seat belt) - neither was effective. My husband is an engineer and found it difficult to utilize the metal clip that needs to be utilized if using the seat belt install method. The cupholder was flimsy and the 5-point harness latches felt cheap.

This car seat went back and we went back to a Britax for our next stage car seat. There is no comparison. The Britax is much more solid.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
