The RECARO ProRIDE is a premium Convertible seat designed to offer your most precious passengers the safety you demand and the comfort they need. Your child will ride in comfort and optimal safety with this convertible car seat. The Side Impact Protection is designed to distinctly protect five vulnerable areas of a child - head, neck, face, pelvis and torso. The easy adjust, soft touch head restraint is padded with real automotive "PUR" foam and positions easily with the turn of a knob. Also features an easy-to-adjust five-point harness, cool mesh air ventilation and a lock-off mechanism that locks the vehicle seat belt in the belt path for optimum safety in the forward facing position. Other features include push button LATCH system with LATCH storage, harness storage pockets, a universal top tether system and a rear-facing recline lever. Real automotive "PUR" comfort foam in the seat provides luxury comfort for your little one. Also included is the RECARO Safety Stripe System - a racing-inspired white stripe that will be clearly visible on the outside edge of the 5-point harness. This stripe is designed to alert a parent that a twist could occur, or has begun, thus preventing a safety hazard. Seat measures 27" to 29" H x 19" W x 11" D. 70-pound weight capacity. This car seat was very easy to install, easy to get baby in and out. Seems to be very padded, looks really comfy for baby! She used to sleep every time she was in the car, but since this seat sits up pretty high she has been awake and looking out the window! The seat seems to be built very well, when installed it does not move around at all....very secure! The adjustable straps and head rest are nice. I hope we never have a crash, but feel confident if we do, baby will be well protected. I can't think of anything I don't like about this car seat......get one....you will love it! Oh yea, not important at all.....but it does look pretty nice in my truck!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

When it came to buying my son and big boy carseat I had to do some research and also read reviews like everyone else, so I tried going the cheaper route and bought a graco my size convertible wasn't happy the buckles were cheaply made, so then I purchased the recaro euro but the thing I didn't like was the manual retreading so I finally decided to give the proride a shot and boy I tell you this is the best one yet my 10 mon old falls asleep in it every time definently worth the money .

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

i use this car seat day after day. the think i like the most about this recaro car seat is that when i see my child in it. I can tell he is well protected,and comfortable by the side impact protection. the think i didnt care for is that using this carseat in rear facing as an infant his head didnt reach the head side inpacters protecter. my suggestoin is to make the head protecter go lower to fit infant. and this will make this car seat the bhest of the best for infant and 20 pounders. but apsolotly do NOT regret buying this product.
