Comments about Early Childhood Resources Pirate Ship Climber:

I was so excited to get this for my son because we love pirate stuff and I was looking for a fun climber for him. We got it when he was around 15 months and now he's 21 months and it's already put away in the garage. It's just way smaller than it looks and my son who is now 33 inches tall could barely fit in it. When he first got it he loved to climb in and crawl into the covered area and look out the windows but he kept hitting his head because it's such a small area. He could barely sit in there without his head touching the top. He never got the hang of the climbing part either so the top part was never used unless we put him up there. To use the steering wheel he would have to kneel down though. It's really made for short little ones but it's misleading because the picture makes it looks like 3 bigger kids could use it at once. I really think its so cute and I loved it at first but now I feel ripped off because it was so expensive for what I got out of it. I'm saving it hoping that he will use it later as a pretend ship when he's going through his pirate stage but it takes up so much room and I doubt he will fit on it by then. It comes apart easily though so you could store it in pieces. It's a bit flimsy in that everything just locks together but not very well and when we tried to move it around the room pieces came out so be careful about that. The detail on the plastic is nice and it's a really cute ship but it's just too small for a kid much older than one and at that age they can't get much use out of it so I say skip this and get a cheaper climber that will get more use.
